ADS- yup, itz probably the only thing that can distract you for a moment while you are watching your fav episode of, say.* jassi* or something. yups, ads are something that can actually make you sit up and take notice, if they have been properly conceptualise, shot n'.if they have something.hatke! commercials are like the recess period in an otherwise boring and monotaneous school day. they refresh your mood, even if you're least interested in what the product is, youll definitely light up your face with a smile, when you get a dekho of your fav sunil babu, or how about digen verma who still remains a mystery. so, here goes my list of fav, kewl, funny n' goodie addies:-
THE HUTCH AD- hmmm. this seems to be everyone's fav these days, especially at MS, well, itz mine too.and why not, the short n' snappy ad, with a simple concept, the much enviable doggie, and the chubby kiddo.make a purrrfect trio.the moment this ad appears, you can actually feel the goodness of this beautiful world!
THE MIRINDA AD- righto, i'm talking about the weirdo haircut ad, which gives hairstylling a whole new dimension. move over shehnaz hussain and habeeb, 'cuz here comes our mirinda frenzy dude who in order to get his fav drink, gave us.voila.a brand new cut, *the hedge cut!
HAPPY DENT WHITE- wondering.yeh kya hai? well, if you are an avid MTV viewer, you must have seen this one as it seems to be their current fav.actually, this ad is shot in a station where a lad accidentally spoils up a fatso's sweater while the fattie iz snoozing. as he gets up, he obviously runs to bash the guy up, but, ends up going fidaa over his pearly whites, courtesy the above mentioned gum.chabaa chewing gum, muskura har dam. is the jingle that follows. do catch it!
THE ASIAN PAINTS AD- ji haan, this is the ad that gave us our very own.suneil babu.wot to I say, itz just too good. dunno whether this ad helped to raise the sales of the paint or not, but, it certainly gave us, the phenomenol, sunil babu n' the famous tag-line, * barhiyaan hai*. paaji, yeh ad bhi barhiyaan hi hai!
FEVIKWICK FISHERMAN AD- this one's not that recent, but, i'm sure that inspie of being out of sight, it just can't go out of your mind! be it his'eureka' invention of catching fishes by applying fevikwick on his fishing rod, or his tamil murmurings, which are like..andre.moole.ange. or something like that. twaz fun, the ad.
KWALITY WALLS - KHATE JAAO AD- remember the family fascinted by the number 3? i'm talking about mr.tripathi, who after meeting baba tridev, had a fixation with the no. 3, just like kekte kapoor's'k' thingie and then. the number just changed his ad as he went on getting a 3 wheeler, that too tri-colour and so on. the ad, especiallly the jingle, and the models.itz phun-tazzz-itc!
AAMIR KHAN COKE SERIES- one of our country's bestest actors, who's known for his intensity.trying his hands on ads, that too on the one that tickles ur funny bones. and does he succeed? he's s-m-a-s-h-i-n-g! be it the yaaron da tasha ad or the'Panch' or the recent addition, the bindu ad.these ads ROCK!
PEPSI ADS .whoa two fierce competitors, just one after the other, itz gettin' hot, huh? anyway, pepsi ke ads, most of which are by prahalad kakkar are kewl. I liked the cyrus, mera number kab aayega.or the sachin-kareena-fardeen, lift ad. they are fun to watch.
THE CADBURY'S AD- i'm talking about the'main khush hoon aaj, .khamkha' ad. itz got this happy and fresh feel to it that just lights up your mood instantly. its great.and so is the jingle!
THE CLOSE-UP KARTE HAIN AD- yeah, this one's the latese and I loooove it. the way they pronounce'hain', wid an exaggerated big-B version, the 70's lookin' models, . the concept, itz all great fun.
phew!.looong list, huh? but, there still are mannnyyy ads that I like, - fruity digen verma ad, the asian paints jassi ad (which shows the REAL jassi),fevicol-katrina kaif ad, the saint gobain ad, the perk ads, the pond's koodly-woodly woosh ads.. there are soooo many of them. so, my bitta advice to you is, take a break from your daily dose of'rona-dhona' soaps and catch these ads, instesd.
