When it comes to watching TV, may be movies, serials or cricket match advertisements are bound to be there. Some catch your attention and some need your attention to just know what they are about. Thus, only few can be said as catchy ones. Whenever any new ad comes many times I don't understand what is it about and it's only after few times watching it, I get it's clear theme. I should agree that it may be my fault(of course if it is not same case with you).
I will tell you one small incidence in my family. When my son was of 3 yrs.of age he somehow reached to the top side of TV where his water bottle was kept by mistake.he touched that bottle and it poured water drops in TV. Our TV stopped for a while.then started. We told my son that there will be no Ad now.only news! and he started crying. This is the importance of Ads in our life I think. First of all, I like ads making direct touch(attack) on human feelings which may increase market for the concerned product substantially. Secondly, the ads which have creativity or catchy lines/song also appeal me. So, here is my choice not according to any order-
1) Cadbury Milk Chocolate- Kya Swaad Hai Zindagi mein-Cadburies have often produced nice catchy ads. There was one in which a man runs after bus in wich his beloved goes just to give her a Cadbury Chocolate. Err, my husband once gave me strepsils when I was suffering from cold(before marriage I am saying). Kash Main bus mein hoti.
There was another cricket based ad under this campaign in which the batsmen hits a six on the last ball and his girlfriend in midi innocently dances with a Cadbury Chocolate in her hand. Simply beautiful idea of dancing in open ground.
Even the latest ad taking Amitabh Bachhan Cadbury campaign showing their lab and with small girl saying' Don't worry, Be happy' is quite good .Cho Chweat.
2)The Maruti Happy Family:'O Balle Balle'.A Dancing sardarji and his little son light up the screen with their pure joy. The son is really cute and expressions are clear to transmit+ve energy showing happy family due to having Maruti 800. Jite Raho Puttar.
3) You and I- in this beautiful world, Hutch Mobileis my favorite due to concept. This one has a small dog following a small boy everywhere he goes. Beautifully shot in lush green fields, old buildings, on a swing and even in the school. No need to explain as the dog is shown the faithful Hutch Network which follows you everywhere. Nice concept Hutch ppl!
4)VIP: Bye bye . bye bye . bye bye bye bye, Jana hai mujko, bye bye bye byethis tune itself is nice alongwith the simple dance of mom and small daughter. Very catchy tune with simple dance. Try it while this ad is on TV and tell me whether you could do it.
5)Aamir Khan coke ads - Amir the Great, one of Bollywood's best actors and my all time favourate actor, who?s known for his born acting brings out coke bottles from well for thirsty girls visiting farms.ad ends on' Tusi Great Ho!' Second one when Amir says, 'Paanch' as he is portrayed as a Bihari contractor in this ad. where he takes on a coke seller in village who tries to fool by selling a coca bottle to two village girls for six Rupees. This?Paanch? commercial brought great laughter. Nobody would have dared to sell it for more than'Paanch' INR.
They all have a different concepts. Aamir is shown a different person in all of them. He projects his image nicely right from being a nepali guy( firstly I couldn't make out that he is Amir) to a Bengali man with kids. In Short, 'Thunda Matlab Coca Cola' .I liked the ads with Amir.but alas, I don't drink it. My son and daughter are fond of it.
6)Kya aap close-up karate hain- This one is nice with typical catchy line .I liked it. Radio gingle got prize this yr. This line is pronounced as great singer Sehgal style.so becomes unique. Again, I don't use close-up though I like ad and song.
7)Raymond Ads-I like all the Raymond ads.as the way they have shown touching your EQ(Emotional Quotient), when they show a baby in the man's hands, wearing a suit which is a Raymond. There is a smooth and soft feeling of suit which makes the viewers to feel the same.
'A Complete Man!' is their catchy line.
8)Ruffles Lays-I like the lays ads specially the one with Saif Ali Khan giving lay chips to the opposition team?s audience while cheering in a cricket match asking them to wear Indian team T shirts.they easily accept for Lays. Kya bat hai! I like Ruffle Lays.but I like Kurkure more.
9)Fevikwik(Fisherman)- It shows a person trying to catch fish with his bait but cant and tries for a long time. while the other fisherman could get to catch the fish easily because he put some Fevikwik on the bait before catching a fish. Idea is new though not practical. Afterall quality/efficiency of product is shown.
10)Milk Cooperative Society?'Dudh, Dudh, Dudh! Dhoodh hai wonderful! pee sakte hai roj glassful!'That is a right approach of encouraging consumption of milk. Catchy tune! Actually, there is no need to tell anybody to drink milk being health food. However many times, we need to make aware of the useful things near to us.
So, it was my top ten choice. The other ones I like are- Cadbury drinking chocolate ad in which cute boy says, ' Main kya billi hun?.' then one of Pepsi where Hritik was travelling in Rajasthan and thinks nobody recognises him and then villagers start singing his song.'Kaho na pyar hai.in Rajasthani style.simply good idea.
Friends, thanks to read my favourite ads. Those who have not yet watched these ads, please sit in front of TV preferably cable and enjoy. Life with ads on TV is really beautiful. What's your opinion? Do write in comment section(hope time permits).
