The very best of Hip-Hop Music... Review on Ten Best Hip-Hop Songs

Apart from being a Die-Hard fan of Punjabi Music I also love Hip-Hop music, though I know these two genres of Music are poles-apart but that is the magic of Music, it brings together different choices into one Mind.

I started listening to Hip-Hop Music when I was in Goa and used to go to various Clubs there playing International Music and started my love affair then which is still continuing. In India also it has really caught on and now special Hip-Hop only nights are a regular features of all the major Clubs of India.

Without wasting your time, straight to the list(Not in any particular order)

1. In da Club by 50 Cent: Well what more to say about this song…this was a smash hit worldwide. The lyrics are pretty explicit but the Music, Beats and the Voice of 50 Cent rocks. This song has been remixed innumerable number of times in Punjabi and Latino Styles. Also played in every club and discotheques of the World.

   
   




2. Real Slim Shady by Eminem: This song was the first major hit of the Hip-Hop Phenomenon called Marshall Mathers better known as Eminem. This song had a hilarious video and superb direction. Its true that Eminem`s lyrics are the toughest to decipher but when you get o hang of the lyrics of this song, this song really rocks.

   
   




3. Dilemma by Nelly: This is one of favourite English songs leave alone Hip-Hop. This has supporting vocals by the superb singer- Kelly Rowland as well. The lyrics also are well written and the opening music is fantastic. This is the ringtone of my phone for the last one year and I have no plans to change it.

   
   




4. Ride with me by Nelly: Another winner by Nelly with brilliant beats and Music. I love the song for the Lines “Must be the Money” which comes a number of times in this song, I really love dancing on this song.

   
   




5. Yeah by Usher: This one is sung by one of the big stars of Hip-Hop music better known to us as Usher, He was earlier a Music Producer but has seamlessly transitioned to being a Lead Singer of the best quality, The rap part of this song is also very very good.

   
   




6. Cleaning out my Closet by Eminem: This song is my Favourite song of Eminem, The lyrics are Mind-Blowing and really defines the troublesome childhood days of Eminem. This was not a smash hit as this is a pretty slow song but this song must be heard by every guy who thinks that Eminem just sings and writes crap.

   
   




7. Get Busy by Sean Paul: This song was one of the biggest hits of 2003 in all parts of the World. Sean Paul is also one of the underrated singers of Hip-Hop but this song proved his singing prowess and also his composing abilities.

   
   




8. Thong Song by Sisqo: I am sure many of you have not heard this song but I just love this song, His album “Thong” was so explicit he was unofficially banned in the US, and this proved his downfall and has not come back since after giving this smash hit of 1999.

   
   




9. Stan by Eminem: This song was made famous by the Lyrics and addition of Dido’s  “Thank You” song’s lyrics; Eminem has remixed both the songs pretty well. Though this song is a recitation of a Fan’s Love for Eminem through his letters written to him but the background score is very haunting.

   
   




10. Where is the Love? by The Black Eyed Peas: The first big hit of “The Black Eyed Peas”, and this song made them Superstars, It has some brilliantly written Lyrics and shows the plight of millions of Poor people fighting on despite Inequality and Poverty. This group has also come up with another good album “Monkey Business” recently.
