Compared to the Bollywood movies Hollywood movies are considered to be superior. This is not always true...Movies like Mother India, Lagaan, Mugal-leAzam are a very good proof of this. I m not here to compare both the well-established industries instead I am here to present to u 10 movie of the Hollywood that are on my all time favorite chart.

                  • Tom Hanks Trio - - - - - - - - - -

a) Saving Private Ryan - Steven Spielberg directed this flick is one of the most touching ''WAR movies'' ever made. Tom Hanks who's mission is to bring back James Francis Ryan played by Matt Damon during the world war 2 period is represented on the silver screen with a firm believe to make the people understand what it is to be in a real war.

b) Cast Away - Tom Hanks' one of the best performances come in this one where he gets stuck on an island far-far away from the modern world as a result of a bad weather plane crash. The middle half or one hour of the movie there is only Tom Hanks and his friend Wilson ''the volley-ball'' who carry the story forward. The ideas to survive in the wild without any electricity or any pleasures of the modern world are very beautifully presented in this one.

c) Forrest Gump - The movie that one him an Oscar has to a typical serious role is what I felt before but after seeing the movie I found it amusing at sometimes. The simplicity of the character Forrest Gump represented by Robert Zemiskes makes one both laugh and cry and hence makes this one - one of my all-time favorites.

                      • I'll be back- - - - - - - - - - -

a) Terminator - I can't say that I have seen this one in theatres with all sound effects and all but what I can say is that there is no difference in seeing such a movie in theatre or on video. The movie that pushed Arnold to superstardom. James Cameroon did entire justice to a new concept. That's why even after almost two decades of it's release, this one makes me stick to the couch with popcorn and cold drink.

b) Terminator 2 Judgment Day - This sequel won 4 Oscars and undoubtedly is one of the examples of the fact that sequels work too. Arnold looks kool and so does Robert Patrick. The then special effects are remarkable in this one. Not to mention again about the originality of the concept and the was it was directed by James Cameroon.

This is a story about love - Love at the MOULIN ROUGE

Nichole Kidman starer this beautiful movie is like a poem on drawing canvas. Outstanding dresses and sets accompanied with music and dance every now and then makes this one purely in my definition what we all call as ''Entertaining''. Kidman gives a knockout performance. The director has been successful in conveying all the emotions in the best possible way. There is romance, jealousy, sacrifice, fear and what not in this movie. Overall this musical blockbuster is at the top all the musicals made so far.

                  • My heart will go on.... - - - - - - - - --

Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet starer this is the biggest blockbuster of all time. Winner of 11 Oscar awards including best director (James Cameroon) this movie is a masterpiece in itself. The 1912 tragedy that most of the world was ignorant about came into spotlight with this one and touched everyone's heart. The love story of a rich girl and a third class guy who has no money or home is represented so intensively in the first half of the movie that sometimes the audience forget that they have come to see a tragic event.

                            • Shrek - - - - - - - - - - - -

This DreamWorks production Oscar winner animated movie is a story about a hideous ogre who is hated by everyone finds true love in a beautiful but cursed princess. His actual quest happens to be to rescue princess who is trapped in the top room of the tallest tower in a castle which is protected by a fire-exhaling dragon but eventually it turns to rescuing the princess from marrying the evil Lord who wants his kingdom to be perfect. He even feels that he can do so by dumping all the fairy tale creatures out of his kingdom. The way this story is represented makes it watch able with family and so it's a complete entertainer. Definitely one of the best-animated movies ever made.

                        • Spielberg Park - - - - - - - - - - -

a) Monster-hit Jurassic Park followed by the sequel The Lost World Jurassic Park both grossed millions of dollars at the Box - Office...and why not another kool concept about domesticating the creatures that existed 6.5 million years ago was new and effective. Spielberg once again proved to the world that he can make good concepts work as many times as he wants them to work.

b) Jude Law and Hale Joel Ossement starer Artificial Intelligence is one of the other example of Spielberg's directing ability. The so-called ''Futuristic Pinocchio story'' A.I demanded the best out of both of the actors. After a stunning performance in Manoj Night Shamalan's The Sixth Sense, Ossement gives award-winning performance once again. Jude Law as an uninvited companion of Ossement in his journey to find the blue fairy looks kool too.
