In my neighbourhood , we have a new romantic neighbour who is musically inclined called Sureela-Satrangi. He has a pretty wife called Sangeeta.
As usual, lavagopal has no work, so she does a peeping tom act.
and manages to catch a musical glimpse of the latest flick Tehzeeb from the words of the musician himself.

Sureela (one evening in a romantic mood ) : Tum bin jeeya jaye kaise, kaise jeey jaaye tum bin...
Sangeeta (coyly ) : Jhoote bole, kowa kaate,kaale kowe se dariyo... why did you watch Tehzeeb without me... ???? lalalala ... main maike chali jaaungi , tum dekhte raheyo...... Now that you saw it without me, tell me the story .....
Sureela (ready to break into a song, clears his throat ) :

pari Urmila
choti pari Diya
Ma Shabana

So sangeeta, at the start of the movie when everything looks alright .....
pari Urmila to papa : papa ki pari hunn main... lalala lala....
shabana is a career woman, highly popular and rich. she often neglects her husband and children
rishi to pari (with a lonely expression after being neglected) : Akele hum, akele tum to hum-tum sang hai.. to phir kya gum..tu mera dil, tu meri jaan...
pari Urmila to papa : OOO I LOVE YOU DADDEEE ...
another victim of Shaban's busy career is infant Diya who has never seen mother's love.
pari Urmila then turning to choti pari : phoolon ka taaron ka.. sabka kehna hai.. ek hazaaron mein .. meri behna hai, saari umar hame sang rehna hai...
things are not looking very well at home. Rishi papa soon he dies. Is Ma Shabana responsible for the crime , no one knows..
After many years in a hotel
Rajkumar Arjun and pari Urmila in a hotel : Ankhon hi Ankhon mein .. isshaara hogaya, baite baite jeena ka sahara hogaya
After 5 years.
life is looking good for pari Urmila. Poet Arjun is a good husband and a good brother-in-law...not to mention his romantic disposition.
one day the poet to his wife : main..shaayar to nahi.. magar ayee haseeen.. jabse dekha.. maine tujho, mujho..shaayari aaagayeee
pari urmila to rajkumar arjun (with an undying sense of gratitude ) : aapki nazron ne samjha.. pyaar ke kaabil mujhe... dil ki aaye dhadkan teherja.. milgayee manzil mujhe..
pari urmi (not forgetting choti pari) : phoolon ka taaron ka.. sabka kehna hai.. ek hazaaron mein .. meri behna hai, saari umar hame sang rehna

Ma shabana one day decides to visit her daughter. After she is home, Arjun the poet is still oblivious of her presence.
Poet arjun to Urmi : Teri pyaari pyaari surat ko kisi ki nazar na lage, chasme baddur !!!
turns out, it was not Urmi but Ma Shabana, so Ma gets Angry ....
Ma to Arjun rajkumar: Aaj na chodungi tujhe dum dumaa dum... Tune kya samjha hai mujhe... dum dumaa dum.. dil mein hai toofan bhara
Poet to Ma (apologetically .... ) I am sorry... I am sorry.. jaane
do... hota hai..chodo.. bhi ... Jaane do..
Ma and beti in between have their tensions and tiffs.
Ma to Beti : chup chup.. baiti ho zarurr koi baat hai.....
Pari to maa (sarcastically ): bholi surat dil ke khote - Naam bade aur darshan chote....
Ma to Beti (in a pensive mood ) : Tujhse naaraz nahi zindagi,hairaan hun main, pareshaana hun.. main..tere maasum sawaalon se pareshaan hun main...
When alls well between arjun and urmila - chudail Diana steps in as a publisher.
chudail Diana to Arjun(seducing....) : Husne ke..... lakho rang.. kaunsa... rang dekho kege ? aag hai yeh badan.... kaunsa ang dekhoge ?
Once some photos of the arjun and chudail diana appears in the newspapers and urmila loose her cool.
urmi to arjun : Tune dil mera thoda...kahin kaa..na choda... sanam Bewafa...oo sanam Bewafa...
arjun to urmi (all confused ): Hum bewafa.. hargeez.. na the..
par hum wafa.. .karna...seke....
Sangeeta now in a funky mood adds : Jheeengala laa laa... hoon Jheengalaa.. .hoo... hoo.. hooo....
Satrangi- waves his hand to stop her and continues....
ok Sangeeta, continuing...in this mess, the little pari Diya has been busy playing with her dolls and toys.
Diya singing to her dolls : lakdi ki khaati , khaati pe ghoda.. ghode ke dum pe jo maara hathoda ...doda doda doda .. dum uthaa ke doda...
After some heated discussions and Shabana's lecture on women's lib and her sacrifices, urmi comes back to her senses. She is full of repentence now.
Urmi to Ma : Mother Mother.. dear mother jab jab dekhun tujhe.. aaye bhagwaan nazar.....
Ma with her two kids(hugging them in the garden) : do naina.. ek
kahani.. thoda se baadal thodasa paani.. aur ek kahani... (remember....Shabana's song in Masoom with Urmila and another choti pari)
Finally all is well that ends well
Urmi to Ma (after deciding to formally apologize ) : rooth na jaana tumse kahun.. to, main in aankhon mein jo rahun to...
But ma has other plans and Sureela-Satrangi wont break the suspense
Sureela - to Sangeeta (all tired after singing out the story: dhal gaya din, hogayee shaam, jaane jo...ab jaana hai ...
Sangeeta blushing: Na Jaao, Saiya.. chudaake baiya..kasam tumhari main ro padungi.. ro padungi.... !!!
of course her tears were not real and Sangeeta/Satrangi went to watch Tehzeeb again, this time together and lived happily ever after
This was the musical version of Tehzeeb narrated by our Friend - Sureela-Satrangi to hi wife. He of course never came to know that I was evesdropping.
My other MSians friends have done full justice to the story/cast description. Hence I am not delving into those details......
