Teesri Aankh is symbolic to the hidden camera, & deals with current issues that one keeps reading about in the newspapers and about how people use the footage taken through the hidden camera to threaten, blackmail, & exploit innocent people. How hidden cameras have made many lives miserable. How technology is being misused by the human mind. How innocent girls get sucked and stuck in this web.It is a challenging film. It is challenging because here truly is a film that breaks new ground in utter stupidity. Completing the viewing of this film was very hard as I painfully cringed through the whole unforgettable experience!

Story

The film revolves around a London-based criminal Sudama Pandey (Mukesh Rishi), who runs a global operation capturing women through hidden cameras placed in hotels, and girls' hostels. After capturing them, he abuses the victims mentally and physically with the help of his partners Mukesh Tiwari and Murli Sharma.

One such girl who gets trapped by them is Sapna [Neha Dhupia]. She is a lovely girl who had dreams in her eyes and wanted to make it big in her career. She was happy to have found love in her life through her fiancé[Sunny Deol]. But fate has something in store, She is murdered by Sudama .The entire murder episode is witnessed by Ammu [Amisha Patel] who tries to rescue Sapna but her effort goes in vain.

Amisha is shocked by this event. But this was not an end to her bad luck as now she is being chased by Sudama and Company. Meanwhile her sister Aarti [Aarti Chabaria] and her partner Ashish [Ashish Chaudhary] too are in lookout for her as she has gone missing.

Now our joker err.. hero Arjun Singh [Sunny Deol] comes into picture .He turns out to be none other than an A.C.P. in Mumbai. As a part of his assignment he had been on lookout for Sudama that leads him to London.

And in London he has only one clue that could take him to his destination - Amisha! Unfortunately the clue herself is gone missing. He makes all possible attempts to find her but reaches a dead end.

Thus starts the war against the evil by the blessed. As the film progresses towards a finale, we get to witness the violence, blood and gore

Critical analysis...

Just a few months back, we were subjected to similar subject in director Mohit Suri’s movie Kalyug . Now, Harry Baweja raises the issue again in ‘Teesri Aankh’ . Teesri Aankh promises to be hard hitting like the former.

Promises, as we all know, are meant to be broken. The film has precious little to offer and fails to deliver in both form and content; neither is there a single scene in the film that isn´t entirely predictable, nor is there any technical flair or innovation on display to lend any sort of visceral appeal. Action films can often be excused for lack of narrative development if they deliver enough thrills, but this disaster falters on both accounts.

The script is almost flat with almost no high point in the drama. The romantic tracks also fail to involve the viewer emotionally. What, perhaps, is the biggest intrinsic drawback of the script is that this subject-matter has been seen as part of the main plot in several films in the past. Therefore, to make an entire film based on a script which has been done to death already, is not really a smart move.

Moreover, several characters in the film get hysterical for no rhyme or reason. For instance,Amisha keeps crying on several occasions but the audience is just not able to sympathise with her because her pain/anguish does not come across. In short, Haary Baweja’s scripting leaves tons to be desired!

Besides, everything moves on the predictable track, thereby robbing the drama of excitement and shock value.

His direction is neither realistic nor hard-hitting. The production design is too tacky with the movie entirely shot in a single lane shoddy studio. The dialogues boast nuggets of 70’s and very clichéd. Music is poor beyond belief and their presentations are just as such. It seems like the songs have been just 'thrust' into the film simply because it is needed.

Coming to the film's performances, everyone is lame. Amisha is given a pathetic role and no opporunity to strut her acting prowess. Sunny repeats his action performance as usual. He sleepwalks his way through his role

Neha Dhupia is barely there . If you're looking for a repeat of Julie, then you've been warned -- it ain't gonna happen here.As for others, the less said the better .

Conclusion....

All up Teesri Aankh is a dry and dull fare . It has a bland mood right from the beginning to the end. That is by large the only consistent aspect of film.
