TE3N:- UTTER NONSENSE, CRAP, WASTE OF TIME, MONEY AND EVERYTHING
There you go: - I have seen the worst movie of 2016 thus far from the ones that I’ve managed to watch. It was an extremely difficult stuff to pull over whole of this movie because of the pathetic way in which it was made.
The story is about the killing & kidnapping of “Grand Child” Angela Roy of John Roy(Amitabh Bachchan). John has been having a daily visit to the police station since last 8 years in search of justice for the tragedy. Inspector Martin(Nawauddin Siddiqui) who turns Father Martin & Inspector Sarita Sarkar(Vidya Balan) are the ones who form the “Te3n” thing as it seems from the looks of it.
I have come to know that this movie is a remake of a Korean film. Well, if a remake is such a disgrace, wonder if Director is bad or the original movie itself was poor! The pace of the movie is so slow that I would rather prefer to watch Rahul Dravid & VVS Laxman bat out the full day in the Kolkata Test 2001 after being follow on again rather than this as that was an epic resurrection after all.
During the interval, it felt great as if we had a bit relief from this torture for a while. While going for a refreshing break, I told my friends not to leave me alone & go away to survive this movie fully. Thank God, they obliged & returned to watch the 2nd half! Thanks guys!
What about the Parents of the Grand Child? How was John able to do investigations on his own & go wherever he wanted all alone & get the clues after 8 years when even before that, he had trouble walking? Maybe it was the sheer determination to set out doing whatever the director told! Was that really the intent of the kidnapper? How it all was recreated so cleanly? Why are cassettes being recorded and played in 2007? I mean really? Well, maybe the director felt anything goes and audience is a fool to approve of it all.
The movie might be regarded as a suspense thriller with action but there’s nothing of it at all. Well, the biggest suspense here is why was the movie made?
Music is poor to say the least. Kyun Re had good music and lyrics but they played the Amitabh Bachchan version which spoilt it. Do senior actors pressurize to sing or music directors do them a favor by giving them a song? Anyways, it was a nice spoiler overall.
Mr Ribhu Dasgupta(The director):- Take a bow Sir, what an epic fail this movie is! Dialogues by Ritesh Shah are not worth mentioning although the joke in the Church by Father Martin will certainly not go down well with Christian people. Editing by Gairik Sarkar is perhaps the worst I’ve ever seen.
Coming to the performances, Vidya Balan is termed as if she has a guest appearance in the movie, but she’s there everywhere. She failed doing something similar in Bobby Jasoos, doesn’t suit as an inspector at all here as well. Nawazuddin was more of a silent observer here & was just about average in what he had to do.
Well, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan:-With all due respect, it would be better off if you could concentrate on doing proper meaningful movies rather than commenting on what Indian Cricket commentators should do or removing a good Cricketer who has a surname with that word from his roots, which apparently our team couldn’t. Your acting didn’t inspire anything; it seemed the same monotonous way all the time. You seemed too focused on just going about things rather than doing what you do best: - Act.
All in all, Te3n is a childish attempt at suspense with nothing to offer than sheer boredom & extreme anger when the climax is revealed. I came out alive from this movie successfully though! Thanks to it being a Sunday, Neerja & Munnabhai MBBS very much made up for this epic failure. I’ll go with 0.5/5 for this one.
