Tried calling Tatasky helpline number today: an actual step-by-step nightmare

1. You will have to forcibly listen to an ad message asking you to subscribe to the Test Match series for Rs.40. Whether you want to view the channel or not, you have to listen.

   
   




2. They will will play out my account balance and my next payment date(if you don't want to know, it is not THEIR problem, keep waiting).

   
   




3. The disembodied voice will ask you to listen to the choices carefully. If you find your choice and press immediately, no luck, you need to wait till the voice finishes speaking, then remember what was the choice.

   
   




4. Repeat step 3. In my case, I am not able to view a channel - the voice says - if you cannot view the channel after recharge press 1, if you cannot view the channel after adding the package press 2, if you cannot view the channel press 3(huh? isn't that the option I selected earlier)?

   
   




5. Finally hear the option of speaking to the operator (hooray!). Select the option and wait.and wait and wait.

   
   

There is nothing except the sound of silence. Don't know whether it is me or my phone who has fallen asleep. Disconnect the phone.
