Good to Have It. Review on Tata Play

Iam using TATA SKY from last 1 year so now its correct time to write somethingabout the product.It is a perfect alternative solution of Cabel TV(Cabelwalas).I spent 2-3days to know about both Tata Sky and Dish TV and then finallydecided to go with Tata Sky.

PROS:

QualityServices: Proper Signal Transmission . NicePicture Quality.

Packages: Tata Sky provides different different packages and according to requirementviewer can opt the packages.This will help viewers to manage their pockets andchannels.Only thing is that viewers needs to select one base package and thenlater on they can add ‘Add-On’ packages and if not needed then they can removethe ‘Add-On’ package.There are so many ways to add the packages.Either throughregisterd Mobile or through Website.Through Registered Mobile just sent smswith the package name and within 5 mins the package will add to viewerssubscription and viewer can watch it at the same time.Same thing with websitealso ,just need to login to the website and follow the steps.Best part what Ifeel is they have perfect and proper categorization of the ‘Add-On’ packages.Perfect and Proper Categorization means Sports related channels are part of onepackage and entertainment related in another package,so there is no mixup kindof things.Package rates are neither too costly nor too cheap.

CustomerCare: Effective and Perfect CustomerSupport. At any point of time if we need any kind of support then just calledcustomer care and they will resolve your problem.I can give two examples tosupport my views:

5 Months back I was not able to view few channels and then I gave a call toCustomer Care and then they told me to follow some steps but unfortunately it didn’t work.Then they said they will sent the technician to my home.Very next day Technician came to my place andresolved the issue.

During recent WestIndiesSeries I opted Sports channels packageand after the series I tried to remove the Sports Package but due to some technical problem at that time I was not able to remove it so Iinformed Customer Care to remove it.They registered my complain and then after2 days I got confirmation call from Customer Executive that ‘Add On’ Package is removed and balance amountis adjusted.

Apart from this till Now I didn’t face any problem.

UserFriendly: Its easy to handle theproduct.After Installation viewer will get SetUp box and remote.Size of theSetup box is very small so its easy to carry from one place to another placeinside the house. On Remote there will be ‘Home’ button through that button Viewer canget the information aboutAccount ID,Balance and current offers.Through Home button Viewer can also get the information about ‘Add On’ package andprocedure about adding them.

RegisteredMobile Service : While registring forTata Sky ,Viewer needs to fill one mobile number and that number willassociated with accound id.So in future viewer can use this mobile number for recharging the subscription and adding the ‘Add –On’ package.

Apartfrom this they have time to time some beneficial offers. For Exampale If I opt ‘Annual Package’ then I can enjoy till 1 Year at the cost of 10Months Subscription.Then they have refferal system,if I refer any body then Iwill get some amount which will be added to my Subscription.Its true that allthese things they do to increase their business but on other side they are also giving benefit to viewers.

CONS:

1) We can not remove any ‘AddOn’ package before one month. I mean to say If on 8th of August I added one ‘Add On’ package then only I canremove that package on or after 8th of September.So I have to usethat package for minimum 1 month.

2) If it rains heavily then Setup box will not be able to receive thesignals. So it might be possible that during rainy day there will be problem in signal transmission.

3) Little bit costlier thanother service provider.
