I am happy to inform you that I am another satisfied Tata sky user.
i bought my tatasky on 13th , since the 3 months free offer was upto 15th.
SERVICE

1.I called tata sky helpline(chennai no).
2.No waiting time immdtly picked up the call and I registered the unit and set the installation after 2 days(the call center executive was very polite).
3.Suprized! I got call within 1 hr, they asked me politely if they can install the unit that day itself.
4.Gave them a time @ 4.and they were perfectly there.
5.Came with all equipments.
6.i was amazed that the guys were replying in english even though I asked them few things in tamil.(thats the sort of training they hav received I think)
7.They neatly drilled the walls and fixed the cable(white color so looks better)
8.Boon for people having LCD tvs and latest tv's the picture is so vibrant and real as if its gonna coming out from the tv.but piture is superb in convensional tvs also.

1.very good, but not all channels , some of the channels reception is very good as good as DVD but not all, few channels are little blurred.
2.Since mine is a LCD tv, the good is seen better and bad reception is showed more worstly.
3.Smaller TV's will show all the channels superbly I think.bcos there is lot of image compression.
4.very interactive on screen selections and options.first may be confused but after playing with it for an hr it is a piece of cake.
5.channels grouped togeather.(news channels, music etc..)
6.u can see schedule of all programs set reminders alerts etc..
7.Recharge like a prepaid cellphone.immdtly alter appears after 20 mins showing all ur account info on screen.
8.clarity better than dish tv as I noticed in shop.

1.Not much more good channels.
2.No regional channels like sun tv ..etc..
3.Set top box has no S-video or no digital out for superior tuning of sound and video.
- sound when connected through my onkyo 5.1 receiver doesnt feel crispy or dynamic at all, just sounds better in TV .
5.Showcase movies are costly @ 75rs per mvie.
6.need one more set top box and 100rs more per month to add to another tv.
7.no fm channels.
Still the best you can get in India.i was little greedy on dish tv
as it was giving 6 months free. but now more happier as I get excellent
quality support, video and peace of mind for 300 per month.
