Pros & Cons of Photon+. Review on Tata Indicom Photon+

I am using Tata Photon+ from past more than and year. So far the journey with Tata is being pleasant. I am using 4GB @ 750 Plan(Corporate).

I would like to give the complete review of my device which I feel may be helpful for the readers.

Things to keep in mind when opting for any Data Card.

1. Think about your needs(eg. How much will you download, When you go online(Day/ Night) etc.)

   
   




2. Ask them about the complete bill plan.

   
   




3. Charges after your free usage is over.

   
   




4. Roaming is free throughout India so no need to ask that. Even if you ask their is no harm.

   
   

I am pretty satisfied with the Tata service so far except for some hiccups like slow connection in rainy season, sometimes slow streaming.

pros

1. bills generated are as per your data usage. If you don't utilize your complete free usage then the bill is always less than the expected.

   
   




2. customtakeouter service is helpful in Pune and issues are sorted out promptly. I have no idea about other cities.

   
   




3. Normal browsing is fast as the speed they provide is 3.1 Mbps.

   
   




4. Great connectivity throughout Pune and rest of the major cities where they provide service.

   
   




5. It is like Pocket mein rocket.

   
   




6. Their is a memory card slot wherein you can install a MMC so you don't need to carry a pen drive with you all the time. This device will solve the purpose. I think Reliance doesn't have this facility.

   
   




7. Easy bill payment through internet. No need to go and stand in queues and waste precious time.

   
   

cons

1. promised speed is 3.1 MBPS but actual speed is 3 times less than this.(even reliance has same funda).

   
   




2. Sometime You Tube videos takes some time for streaming. You must have patience in such situations.

   
   




3. Sometimes(Rarely) their servers are down so can not connect to internet.

   
   




4. Though their customtakeouter service is fast but not 24x7. If you face any problem in night then you'll have to wait for the morning to get any assistance from CSE.

   
   




5. Connectivity and speed is good but their service is not in all the cities. I went to Amravati for a week and I really missed my internet a lot their. Tata must expand their connectivity. All major cities in India have Tata connectivity.

   
   

Overall this is a good product to purchase.
