I went for a Prepaid Tata Indicom Broadband Service while I was in Bangalore during Feb 2007(Mico Layout, BTM Layout ).I had paid for the 3 months rental as advance. The connectivity was very poor.It will go down all of a sudden and I had to call up the Non Toll Free Customer Care Number.Calls will be charged at local rates while you wait for the agent to attend to your call.
On an average 3-5 minutes are wasted before he actually picks up the call.Even after the complaint is lodged the service will be restored by 1-2 days.Your Prepaid account will expire exactly after 90 days but if you count the delays in restoring the services you will understand how much you are losing out.In the 2nd month the connection went down for 3 weeks.
Despite numerous complaints they have not done anything to restore it.When I asked them to extend it for my loss they asked me to renew it again for 3 months where they will be crediting the number of days lost previously.
As I had to relocate in few months I did not do the renewal. In a period of 90 days I did not get the service for atleast 30 days. In addition to that, I had to go through all the pains to get the service restored in between.
Bharti Airtel is the best brand in Bangalore but their services were not available in that area so I had to go for Tata Indicom.I have relocated to Kolkata afterwards and I have stopped using any services offered by Tata Indicom , be it mobile or Braodband/Tata photon.
