I applied for Tata Docomo(most pathetic) after surrendering bsnl(bit less pathetic) broadband service just to realize that:
1. Docomo BB Cust care just creates service request and takes atleast 48 hours to start addressing the issue which they keep resolving for a week and more.
2. Docomo speed drops(with frequent disconnects) suddenly to 400 to 500 Kilo bits ps and keeps the same speed for next two weeks(atleast) even you opt for 2Mbps(FUP 30 GB).
3. Docomo BB connection frequently disconnect when you require it the most while working from home. The people who gaurentee(the BB installers who claim that they can be called directly if we face any issues i.e. area representative, in My case Mr Anto Brito And his managet Mr Vishal Bhai, cell no's) never pickup calls when we really want to report a problem.
4. Speeds never match with the selected plans Viz: 2Mbps gives me 1.4-1.6 Mbps download, and 1 to 1.14 Kbps upload speed. This is pathetic when you try and upload pictures to Picasa or facebook from ur PC/laptoip or ur phone. Forget HD Video upload. You will cry in case of Vid upload. Ping times are more than 150 ms atleast.
6. Few of my friends(who had direct contacts with Docomo Technicians in last 6(six) months informed me that the technicians suggested my friends not to take docomo connections in case they are planning to work from home and if they are going to use VPN to connect office network. Because as per their experience, the docomo back end(back bone) team do not respond or respond after six hours on their call. But If technician's manager calls for the same problem, the issue is resolved in few mins(less than 10 mins). Which,
Moral of the story is "Do Not" take, even accidentally, tata docomo broadband internet connection.
Someone please pass on the message to Mr Ratan Tata.
