I take my time to write down this incident as I have deep faith in Tata business and Tata ethics and I foresee that this kind of incident may bring defame to Tata Capita.
Few months back, a marketing representative approached me for an OD loan. I was not interested, but due to the persuasion, I somewhat agreed to proceed. Before taking this loan, I repeatedly told the marketing executive that I can't bear any overhead for this loan. ( I have all the evidence). He promised me to refund all the processing and insurance fees after the loan is sanctioned. Then his manager send me a confirmation for refund from Tata Capital email id.
Since the email was from Tata Capital organization, so I believed their assurance and agreed to proceed with the loan. The loan interest etc was so high that I said that I will never use the money from that loan. But the marketing executive was so pleading to save his career, I somewhat felt that I should go ahead and help. I did go ahead because I had the mail confirmation from Tata Capital email id that processing fees and insurance will be refunded.
Once the loan was processed, I repeatedly asked for a refund for the last 4 months. The marketing executive(Nasser) and his manager have given me all false excuses and false promises so far for the last 4 months. I have all the details of WhatsApp chat and all the details.
Finally, after 4 months of blatant lies, they are not responding at all. I have lost around 30000 Rs money for no reason. The loan was sanctioned and disbursed and I got online access after 2 days. I refunded 10L after 2 days, but still I was charged interest for that period. I did not get online access, so was the delay, but why should I pay for the interest? I did follow up with Naseer and he did nothing though the entire team promised to follow up on that. So, here follow the sum up of the entire event:
I wanted to help a youth and took some loan that I never used a single rupees, but I lost 30K rs and enough time.
People are promising in email from Tata Capital email id, and then they are bluffing and cheating with customers, that bring heavy amount of defame to your brand equity, we believe Tata so we proceeded.
I had no option to pay, I did inform Naseer, but still they deducted my interest and nothing happened after several follow-ups.
After almost 4 months of chat/ phone / follow-ups with Nasser and all his managers, I see that they have bluffed me only so far and now stopped responding.
I am an avid fan of Ratan Tata and his ethics - I would really hate to take this incident to a broader forum. I believe that Tata management will review/inspect this case and address the issue immediately.
