Is war an ultimate solution to political problems faced by a country? Directed by Mani Shankar, ‘Tango Charlie’ is a film with a message. It reveals the real face of terror and war. The mental and physical traumas that civilians and soldiers of a country face during war have been depicted in the film. The cry of wounded soldiers and death of innocent civilians killed in cross firings point towards the harmful results of war. The movie depicts the traumatic conditions faced by BSF soldiers and innocent civilians during war.
The story of the film revolves around a soldier named Tarun Chauhan (Bobby Deol). Tango Charlie is the code name given to Tarun. Tarun is the embodiment of the ideology that the film strives to communicate to the people. He serves as a platform to communicate the message of peace and harmony. He fights against terrorists operating in different parts of India. He performs his duty as a soldier with excellence. As a human being he is not able to understand why people of the same country and culture are not able to live in peace and harmony with each other.
Mohammad Ali (Ajay Devgan) plays the role of a senior officer in the movie. He is the motivating force behind Tarun Chauhan. He motivates Tarun in the battle field. He also shares Tarun’s ideology of the futility of war. Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt play cameo roles in the movie. Tanisha and Nandana Sen play vital roles in the movie.
PROS:
