I love watching movies of Imtiaz Ali. I recommend everyone to watch his movies in theatres. His movies are worth watching in theatres.
I am a die hard fan of Deepika Padukone and I even like Ranbeer-Deepika's pair. So for me this was a much awaited movie of the year. I loved the concept of the movie. I also, loved the music. I still listen its songs on daily basis. But the direction of the movie failed to impress me. I mean the concept it so good.
When I watched this movie I just felt like, it tells the story of every living person who does not follow it's own dream. What director means is we all are slaves of some or the other thing. we are just like that Lion in a circus who just know how to follow orders of a ring master but does not realize his own potential(after all Lion is a King).
In the story also, our hero is a corporate slave whose life runs on a clock. You pick any person from metro city who works in a corporate. This is his/her story. The concept is good but the editing and story telling is not up to the mark. When you see a Imtiaz Ali's name associated with a movie then your expectations increases already.
You feel more connected with the story when you listen to it rather than watching it by yourself. Hero's dream is to produce plays or acts and sell happiness to people via it. But he is stucked in a rat race and than our heroin comes for the rescue. First part of the movie is bit boring and you does not even understand what is happening? I mean how come he reaches to Corcica and why only Corcica from the entire world? Just because this location is never shown in any of the bollywood movies? or just you happen to visit this place and thought of shooting it there?
A R Rehman does his job with music again. All songs are just beautiful. My personal fav is Agar Tum Sath ho.and Tu koi aur hai. I just love them. For sound track I can give 5 stars but over all it gets only 1 star from me.
This is one from Imtiaz you can surely skip. May Ranbeer gets his hit movie soon. A much needed one for him now. I mean his previous two movies were flop: Bombay velvet(a disaster) and Besharam(a disaster again).
