Taco Bell is one of my favorite fast food places to eat. I used to frequent the one near campus (Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA) several times a week until it burned down. I really do miss it! But there are several more Taco Bells in the city and you will find one without a very long drive.
However, if you are looking for authentic mexican grub, don't expect to find it here. You will find inexpensive food (some items as low as $.69US each) and a variety of menu items. Some of the things offered are:
Tacos (both soft and hard shell), Taco Supremes (with sour cream), Burritos, both bean and/or with meat (beed and chicken), Nachos (just cheese or with green onions, tomatoes and meat), Mexican Pizzas, and various other specialty items that seem to come and go. For instance some places serve Tostadas and pintos and cheese, or cheesy fries and others have no clue as to what you are talking about. They also have items for the vegetarians like bean burritos, or pintos and cheese. They will usually withhold meat from any item with special requests. I almost forgot to mention the desert item, cinnimon twists! If you are a cinnimon lover you will like these crisp and crunchy treats!
I really like the variety of choices at Taco Bell along with the prices. They are very reasonable and won't break your pocketbook if you bring a car load of kids out to eat. They offer a choice of Mild Sauce, Hot Sauce and a new one called FIRE. I find the FIRE sauce, exactly that...your mouth will be on FIRE!!!! So use with caution!!!!!
The Taco Bells in our city are very clean. There is always someone on duty sweeping up spills and clearing tables. I find them much cleaner than McDonalds on most visits. If you don't want to dine in, you can order at the drive thru and bring your food home.
The personnel are friendly and fast. I find that going inside to eat is much fast than other chains and the drive thru gives you average service. Just remember that the food is good for the price, it is nothing spectacular...kinda like ''you get what you pay for''.
Overall, nice place to eat in my city (Baton Rouge, LA).
