Hi People,
Here I found a space to share my real frustrations I had after relocating from banglore to chennai..
yes I am talking abt Suriyan FM, which is still growing even after so many years of launch. I see chennai as more of a cosmo-metropoliton city.. where u find people from differenct culture(courtesy Booming IT industry) .. in that sense.. they have some responsiblity to play some really good music and host some really good shows..
but unfortunately , except early morning and late evening songs.. all other songs played in between are mere scrap I should say.. above all the anchors .. oh my god,, from which planet they are in I dont know.. 8' o clock- kittu maama and susi maami, really really horrible.. hard to resist their conversation.. simply scrap.. above that the songs.. ammadi,. aathaadi, .... variyaadi.. playing during the office going hours.. cant stand man..
after that some 2 hours of some good program.. still need to improve.. kadi and chinnathambi,periya thambi.. quite ok.. but again.. from where on earth they select the songs I dont know.. and the till evening the same .. again by 6.. kisisu geetha.. pathetic.. I dont have words to say.. really so so so worse.. song selection again so bad..
but on the other side.. suriyan FM has the maximum ad coming up and quite popular among the masses.. why can they play some really good stuffs. useful interviews.. with the amount the they are getting thro the AD campaigns.. they can really come up with some good programmes..
on listening to the FMs in chennai.. I went to an extent of starting own FM station.. but later realised it is not possible with license fee to start an FM station.. it is really HUGE .. cant afford..
