First and foremost, do not get fooled if this movie advertises Jackie Chan either on the CD or in the theatre posters. Jackie Chan does appear during the course of the movie, but only as a guest star for about 5 minutes. The movie is focused upon Michelle Yeoh along with some newcomers.

For those who have seen the prelude to this {Supercop}, the indomitable Inspector Jennifer Yang{Michelle Yeoh} is back. But unlike Supercop, it’s Miss Yang who travels to Hong Kong this time around to provide information about a Chinese caught smuggling firearms into Hong Kong. She befriends two Hong Kong cops and gets caught up in a strange mystery. An armed gang steals the security system software, which controls the security of over 83 banks in Hong Kong and innumerous small businesses. There’s no rest in this one…it’s complete action all the way.. as she and her friends encounter the gang in an abandoned building following which there is a long action shot involving a lot of firepower and RDX. But amidst all the chaos she meets her ex-fiancée Richard Chang and sets about to repair their relationship. But as she gradually unravels the mystery, she discovers a bigger hand behind the robbery. A man who plans to steal the entire Central Hong Kong Bank in a rather indigenous plot. For the climax scene…Michelle Yeoh somehow manages to get herself into the bank along with the armed gang only to discover to her horror that the armed gang is headed by her fiancé Richard. During the course of the robbery there are various betrayals{the usual greed for money as gangs kill each other} leading to loads of bloodshed until in the end only Richard and Michelle Yeoh are left. Inspector Yang is then forced to choose between love and duty…it comes as no surprise as to which she chooses.

As I’ve said in the title, the movie greatly lacks the Jackie Chan magic and the magnetic screen personality that he has. Instead, he is just cast in an independent guest

role that has no bearing towards the movie. Michelle Yeoh lives upto expectations with some good Action stunts but the others are quite ordinary. The movie has no charm in the sense that there are no mind-boggling beauties..it’s a plain action-thriller with a surprisingly good plot. Overall, seeable only by true-blue action fans.
