Sunny da dhaba on the old Mumbai Poona Highway is a must visit for Foodies hungry after a drive to Lonavla. If you are on the Mumbai Poona Expressway, then just detour to Lonavla and drive on the old National Highway No.4 (NH4)a little further ahead (almost 7 kms towards Pune after Lonavla) and you can't miss the aroma of Tandoori Chickenthat will make even the most un-hungry stomach gurgle with anticipation.

Yes, chicken in all possible varieties is what you should look forward to here. Chicken Hariyali, Chicken tandoori, Chicken Masala, Chicken Afghnai .. this list will go on and on.

My Vegetarian friends need not worry - There is plenty to choose from and equally delicious and lip smacking, finger licking awesome with quality and quantity to match. Huge seating area and ambient surroundings make it a relaxed atmosphere for families and friends alike.

Charpai (Cots)seating with bolsters for support and comfort. Plastic chairs and a smoking dhoop for the mosquitoes (just in case-very rarely)

Prices are neither dhaba type reasonable nor are they too expensive (whats cheap these days ??) You also get an option to choose family size portions which are substantial by any standards and good for a family of 4 or even 5 elders.

Must order their lassiand chaas which are made fresh and served chilled and sweet or salted as per choice. Be prepared to fall asleep on the wheel after this though. Beer is also served.

Order well in advance because they take quite some time to serve ( we were there on an absolutely jam packed Sunday afternoon) The place to visit on a wet rainy green drive amidst the tranquil beauty and natural charm of Lonavla followed up by a hot steaming cup of garam garam chai and chikki.
