This Sunflame Press iron is five years old and I never had to spend a single penny on it`s maintenance. This was purchased in 2005 just few months before my marriage. I myself went to the CSD and took it as it had ISI mark and look was good in shining whilte.
LOOK & FEEL
This iron is very light in weight. The look is beautiful and the ergonomics gives a cake walk to handle it while physically doing the ironing. The length of the connecting cord is sufficient and that also in matching white colour. The plug is also white in colour and is quite sturdy.
PERFORMANCE
Each week I need to iron a dozen of variety of clothes including my husband`s Air Force Uniform. The ironing experience is so good that I volunteer for ironing all the clothes myself !!. I use a hard surface and put a blanket and bedsheet and plut the iron and switch it On. It takes seconds to disappear the Red colour Indicator. It means that the iron is ready for the job. Before switching the iron On I put the Heat selector to the desired option like Nylon, Rayon, Silk, Wool, Cotton and Linen in increasing Heat order. It`s a simple Rotary switch and easy to operate. I use Cotton on the Heat selector for normal clothes
The connecting cable is with a movable `covering` so that it`s easier to glide the iron on any type of clothes. Also the triangular front portion is so sleek that it`s possible to iron the button area of a cloth.
The Plug has a structure in which a finger can be inserted and the plug be pulled out easily. This feature has kept my iron safe for many years and looks brand new even now.
EVILs
If care is not taken the cable gets mangled and it makes an irritating effort to unwind it.
If thermostat is not selected properly the iron has a tendency to sticking up with the cloth.
After switching it off it takes longer time to cool down.
