A great place for Sandwich Lovers:
Subway is indeed the healthy way. I have not been a fan of subway since very long, but just one visit to the place was enough for me to get it into my favorite place. I was fed up of eating junk food and wanted to try something different, so I just went to subway (Inorbit mall, Vashi) with a friend, on his recommendation. First I didn’t understand what it was like. I mean I didn’t know what to order, how to order. Anyways, the guy who attended me was very welcoming.
The First Experience:
As I was a first timer, I was unaware of the sandwiches available there (SUBWAY serves ONLY sandwiches). The guy guided me through the menu which had 6 veg-sandwiches and 6-7 non-veg sandwiches (Being a pure vegetarian, I didn’t enquire about non-veg).I had to choose from simply veg sandwich, aloo patty sandwich, veggie patty sandwich,Paneer Tikka sandwich, veg shammi sandwich and corn & peas sandwich.
Many options for Stuffing & Breads:
Simply veg, as the name suggests has just vegetables and sauces. Aloo patty has a potato pattice included. Veggie patty includes a vegetable pattice. Veg shammi sandwich has soyabean pattice and corn & peas has both these things blended with chopped vegetables and mayonnaise sauce.
I ordered a veggy patty for the first time. He asked me if I wanted a foot long or two and the type of bread (Italian white bread, wheat bread, parmesan oregano bread, Honey-oat bread).I choose the wheat bread. Next he asked me for cheese and the vegetables (you can select what vegetables you want on your sandwich), you can add anything from: cucumber, tomato, capsicum, onions, salad leaves, olives, jalapeno, pickles, so I told him to put a little of everything.
Next he asked the sauces I would like to have in my sandwich. The sauces available are mayonnaise, mint mayonnaise, barbeque, mustard, chilly sauce, sweet onion sauce. I asked for mint mayonnaise, barbeque, mustard and chilly sauces. And then it was ready. He stuffed all these things properly in the bread and wrapped it with a paper. Then he handed it over to me saying, “Thank you sir, Enjoy your sandwich.” I also liked the fact that there were different sections for veg and non-veg sandwiches and different people to make it.
A lil expensive for sandwich but tastes amazing:
I paid Rs.105/- at the counter and started having my sandwich. I wasn’t expecting much, but it was really tasty. The sauces make a good blend with each other and the vegetables. Also the vegetables are fresh and good to eat. It gets a little messy at the end to eat because of the sauces but still the taste is too good. I don’t know about non-veg sandwiches but my friend had some roasted chicken sandwich and he liked it too. Basically both the sandwiches are the same except for the extra topping (veg or non-veg). One sandwich is enough and filling and also one of the healthiest food.
Over-all I would rate subway a 9.5 on 10. If you have not tried it yet, you should give it a try at least once. And if you like subways, like me, keep enjoying and I hope you would agree with this review.
