Have had to visit the thakur village branch of Suburban diagnostics 3-4 times. On a positive note the complete set up looks quite professionally managed. you take a token as soon as you enter and wait for your turn. once your number flashes on the screen you go to the designated counter. Computerised services ensure you are identified as soon as you tell them your cell number. a variety of tests can be conducted under one roof. reports are processed timely with options like same day evening collection of reports( for general tests), online reports etc
On the flip side however, I noticed that most of their staff for blood collection seems new or untrained. while waiting for my turn, I noticed an elderly uncle who had just stepped out of the room after giving blood sample. Poor chap had blood oozing out of the small tape affixed on the inner side of his arm fold from where blood samples are generally taken. It was not even a drop or two. Blood was seeping right from his elbow to his wrist. he was asked to sit with his elbow folded, in the waiting area for 5 mins and then leave, and that is precisely what he did.
When I went in for my turn even I felt that the needle was not inserted properly, handling was not as delicate as it should have been and I ended up with a needle mark on my arm which subsised in 2-3 days time.
I also noticed that all tests were a bit over priced even when compared with rates at similar diagonistic chains( like SRL Ranbaxy) .
Overall experience was just about satisfying. though I would surely try out some other place for such tests if I get the option next time around.
