.....Whats Happening!!!!???.....
I dont know if fighting with lightening and battling a massive tsunami is to be called a first class adventure or not!!
... The Story.. I mean the thesis... or whatever...
I enjoyed reading this book. But by the end of it I realized that I enjoyed reading the facts more than the suspense. The book is more of a documentary than anything else. After reading State of Fear and Timeline I think I should probably give michael chricton a rest. Because I find his stories lacking in a story line and full of theories. Full of one sided theories to be precise.
Is this Action?
Moreover the action sequences described are unbelievable!! I think mother nature would cry out!! I dont think the main characters have had so many near escapes in any adventure novel. It gets boring after the first few unbelievable and uninteresting escapes. And all this happening all around the world. You get to see all the elements in action ice, water, lightening, storms, tsunamis!!! Imagine all of it packed in one novel.
<Conclusion>
To summarize if you are looking for an action packed thriller with a good storyline, an interesting set of characters State of Fear is just not for you!!!!
