I am sharing this with you all to understand what benefit it is to have an a/c with the largest bank in India.
A few years back I was stuck in jammu while returning from Mata Vaishno devi for few days due to heavy snowfall& all trains were cancelled. No place to stay& money was almost over. I asked the taxi guy to take me around all nearby ATMs. Luckily there was an SBI branch a bit out of city whose ATM had cash whilst all other private bank ATMs like ICICI were out of cash. That really saved me& my family from being helpless.
I have had an account in SBI since childhood days. Then banking was a tedious job as waiting in long queues for any transaction was needed. All work was done manually making it quite time taking affair.
Nowadays, we have netbanking, atm network all over, mobile banking apps making it a simpler and much smoother job. You can do banking on the go being anywhere. I seldom visit my bank branch thanks to all this technology which has made it possible.
The best part about SBI is its everywhere in all parts of India making it the largest bank network. I think there would rarely be a family which doesnt have at least one a/c in SBI.
It truly is for me "Sabka bank of India"!
