Please be aware of this Star Traveller DMCs, they call it themselves as DMCs, including the director of the company Ms Swati Ghosh, had soo much attitude unfit to be the travel trade.
There was a recent instance, dated 31 Oct 2023, all the travelers traveling to China with Group visa were denied boarding from Indian Immigration Authorities, So way back from China we had booked for 4 Night Phuket from Shanghai, since the group couldn't board the flights from India, Singapore Airlines & the China Counter Part understood the situation & was kindly enough to process complete refund against this booking.
But since the date this issue got highlighted, We had to cancel group traveling to Thailand 7 days before the travel where we had Group booked for Phuket with this Star Travellers DMCs, they took almost a month or so time to resolve & conclude the refund's issue, but there was absolute no response to emails and hardly they use to pick our phone calls for the giving us fake responses, "still negotiating with hotels".
In the first instance they said advance paid is non refundable, later when we started questioning them, they said if you can utilize these rooms hotel can extend the support with full refund until May 2024, but still they haven't received any email confirmation, as soon as they received we shall be kept updated.
Another month's time gone, since they had agreed to utilize this advance amount to get adjusted to any other bookings with Star Traveller DMC later we decided to use it for Singapore, but they came back to us without even concluding the case, Straight away with 50% cancellation & only 50% can be utilized.
When asked for the hotel confirmation number where the hotel is charging us the cancellation for this group,(in any instance if the hotel has charged them), we are ready to accept the cancellation penalties, but when asked for the hotel confirmation number, So called Director of the company said its their own cancellation policy & nothing to do with hotel or the resort.
There is absolutely no proper response and ownership taken by any of their colleagues including the person Ms Bharati who represents this company from Bangalore, have no clue & stopped responding to us.
Star Travellers DMCs wants to earn money out of cancellation charges & where there was genuine reason for customer not able to make this travel.
This company is unfit to be in the travel trade when they can't consider the real-time problems which customer had undergone & wants to make money with the cancellation charges.
We have decided to file case & send a legal notice to take this Company for further actions.
