The Best Mall in Thane - Korum Mall on Eastern Express Highway houses Star Bazaar on 1st floor.
Star Bazaar is a good place to buy your daily necessities. It is a very huge store with lots of products on offer starting from toiletries, biscuits, office stationery, clothes, bags and suitcases, green vegetables, cake shop etc. etc. AND that too on one single level. That means no stairs or escalators or ramps until you have to lug your trolley out of the store.
Tata's Star Bazaar may or may not be cheapest at all times, but it did provide the cheapest quality sugar, dals etc. when citizens were reeling under high inflation. This store stands by the name of TATA, but....
Makhmal mein taat ka peband to hai. Price display and Billing issues mar the whole experience of shopping. If you buy a product finding the offer of "Buy One Get One Free" and are confident that your free product will not be charged for since the whole process is computerized and you do not check the bill issued and paid.
You need to check and confirm that you are not billed for your free product and also confirm the rates being charged are as displayed at the racks. In case the bill is finalized and you want a rectification, then be prepared to stand in a long queue at the free goodies counter just outside the Store and wait for the clerk to fill up various forms and after signing, you get your refund.
This Store has to improve drastically its display of prices since rates differ on various days of the week.
