Credit cards rule the roost these days. One having a
credit card can take money, buy things even though he
doesn’t have money in his account. This has made easy
one to get things whenever he wants and pay for it
later when the list of payment is sent from the bank.
My dad had an idea to get a credit card. Then he
heard about the card from Standard Chartered(sapney)and came to know that it has many benefits beyond that what we expect from a credit card.It is discussed in privileges part in this review. Then he applied for it and got one. Then the journey started with the card in his pocket. But one thing I really want to say is that, the Customer Service is very good and very fast access in the bank is available. One experience is also explained later.
Okay, Let us see the privileges endowed in this
card.
Instabuys:-This is an innovation where the purchase
of wide rage and high value products can be made without being billed at once i.e., in a lumpsum that bill comes in equal installments for the convenience and with reduced interest rates. So effective in cost and can go for high value purchase but it is below the credit limit.
The Instabuys also has special instabuy deals
where you can purchase televisions,DVDs,WMs,Fridge and what not at 0 % interest of different companies which are associated with the bank. And in Regular Instabuys Deal, the purchase is not as simple as above but there are loan slabs, interest rates and monthly installments with it.
Global ATM Access: Cash withdrawal can be made at any time from Standard Chartered or Standard Chartered
Grindlays ATM in all major cities. Also money can be
withdrawn from Master Card ATM network. This Network
covers many other Banks too.
Global Acceptance: The usage of the card can be made
abroad too where the ATMs are bearing the MScard/Cirrus Logo. So this is accessible in India and abroad too. So the card is accepted world wide in any master card/cirrus logo bearing ATM.
Global Emergency Assistance’s Service: This is one of
the privileges which can be availed when your card is lost or stolen while travelling overseas and can get a new emergency card replacement by utilizing this service or helpline and also other miscellaneous enquiries can be made through this service.
Telecraft: In this facility, it helps one to get a
draft pay order who owns the card. The thing to do is to call the service and they will charge it to the card and get the draft/pay order at the door step.
Petrol-Against Card: This card can also be accessed in petrol pumps across India where the Master Card is
accepted and have a happy little driving.
Flexi Limit: This is a unique privilege I have seen.
When you opt for two or more cards to have additional card or supplementary card, the credit limit will now be combined of both limit of cards and the exceeding of the credit limit is not worrying, but it is until that it doesn’t exceed the combined credit limit.
There are many more privileges this card holds like Free personal accident insurance, free credit limit enhancement, Supplementary cards for other family members.Liability is not made on the card member when it is lost.Inform the service center and get new one and the old one will be seized and no transactions can be made.
Card holders can also use it to pay for railway
ticketsat key cities in India where this card is
acceptable an overseas subscription can be made using this card. The customer service is very good.I want to share an experience with you people.Once my dad put the card and while dialing the pin number he missed out and jumbled up two numbers. The card got struck inside the machine. Immediately he called the Customer Service and informed about it.Then the next few days the card was in his pocket again. So such was the fast response of the people from Standard Chartered.
Thus credit cards are making life easier day by
day and this card in particular is making life
enjoyable and cozy. I truly enjoy the nicety of this
card and I would suggest one and all to go and have
one for yourself. It is definitely worth it.
Thanks for reading.
