Its a pity we don't get to see Sridevi in the film industry anymore. Her last mainstream film was back in 1997-98 and she's made a couple of sporadic appearances since then. I'll be honest- this isn't really a review about her films or her acting capabilities
People of my generation only get to see her at public appearances- events, premieres and parties. Not that I'm complaining though- she looks absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G every time she steps out in public. She has awesome dressing sense- not many Indian women her age would dare to try out tight jeans, figure hugging shirts and strapless gowns. But then Sri is different, she has the attitude and the body to carry it off.
When we talk of Indian actresses ageing gracefully, Rekha's name is always mentioned. I fail to understand why Sridevi is overlooked. In an era of plastic surgeries and Botox shots, she stands out as a truly natural beauty. She has maintained herself amazingly well through her 40s and can be an example to all women. She continues to look radiant with that lustrous hair, gorgeous skin, big expressive eyes and luscious lips. Of course, her figure could put 23 year old to shame( that's women half her age, for those of you with bad Maths). Being so well endowed can be a matter of lucky genes, but it needs effort to maintain it.
And above all, she deserves kudos for proving that an Indian wife and mother does not have to be conservative or boring. She can be a gorgeous, sexy bombshell and the cynosure of all eyes. And she can dictate her own terms- loads of producers/ directors would like her to star in their movies. She continues to be in great demand for ramp shows too
