This is a private medical college and a Deemed University. It is a recent addition to the
colleges. The campus is good. The buildings are spacious and well laid out
and planned. The hospital has over 1500 beds and it is fully
occuppied.Thus there are enough patients.
The teachers are committed lot supervised by a dynamic management
which has a close control and watch on the happenings. The teaching programmes are good
and frequent conferences are held which gives the students
a good academic exposure. As in any institution some
departments function better than others. The deparment of Cardiology
is one of the best in the country, very well equipped with more than adequate
patient input, good clinical care and teaching, with very good post graduate
training programme. In the other departments the training of the post graduates
is good, though this depends also on the student's commitment and capacity to study.
The undergraduates (most of them) as in most private medical colleges have still
to develop a sense of responsibility, and imbibe the traditions of
being dedicated to the profession.
Being a private medical college the students admitted here are those
who missed out on the government colleges and to this extent
thee is bound to be a difference in their dedication and commitment
in many instances.
