Worst dental college in Andhra. Review on Sree Sai Dental College and Research Institute, Srikakulam

Hi everyone, I Worked here as HOD and Vice Principal in this college for about 3.5 years. I would like to give honest review which would help both students and staff who want to join here.

Information to people planning to join as staff: Management doesn't stick to its promise regarding the deal what we make in beginning. They will go back on their word regarding increments and accommodation etc. I personally had a loss of about 11 lakhs in these 3.5 years due to lack of 10% increment and accommodation promised at the beginning. If we ask for increment, immediately they will create fake complaint letters in a complaint box specifically fixed for this purpose and say "mee mida complaints vachayandi". They make anti-student decisions and force us to implement them. Their favorite dialogue is "if you can't make students fall in line, resign". It's like blackmail.

There are just 25% staff who come to college. Rest all are on-paper. Even PG departments like Prostho have just 1 full time senior lecturer. All professors come only 12 days per month haphazardly. There is no job security. The principal and management remove staff on the spot. They do character assassination to make the removal look like legal. There is no rule of law like one month notice from their side. Joining this college is risky. They give deals like 15 days per month even to senior lecturers. Anyone who want to join this college should enquire thoroughly and join.

Information to students who want to join MDS or BDS:

This college doesn't have enough staff. Infact few departments have just 1 working staff. There is no full time staff in physiology. Oral path has only 1 female senior lecturer. Other staff are posted in fast track clinic etc. Staff will not be in department as they will be engaged in administrative activities. College doesn't pay stipend to neither PGs nor Interns. They take signs on checks and withdraw entire stipend amount from the bank. PGs who question it are harassed to the extent that they will be forced to leave course. 2 female PGs have left the course due to staff behaviour. There are staff in the college against whom university enquiries are pending since 2019. They resigned from college in 2019 just before enquiry and rejoined after 2 years. One department staff tears the approved and signed pages of record books. Management gives open instructions to give 10k - 15k to exam observors so that students fail. In the batch of 2021 university examination, one PG from each department was failed purposefully under specific instructions of a management member. Everyone of them cleared theory, but failed in practicals. There is a staff who has taken thousands of rupees from students on various reasons but is still being maintained just coz he is close to management. There are no patients. Every thing is on-paper only.

The only thing positive about this college is the students. They are hard working and try to learn even in these harsh conditions. They respect staff a lot and are well behaved. It is utterly useless and waste of money to join this college. This college is about 20 years old and still doesn't have a website, which speaks volumes about the quality. There are numerous complaints even from National Green Tribunal, pollution control board etc. The fact that this college with not even basic staff for a UG college, is going for PG seat hike and new PGs in Pedo and Oral Surgery is a testament to the deep rooted corruption at Dr.YSR University of health sciences. It shows that money can buy anything. I sincerely hope that the sleepy university will wake up before it gives approval to PG seat hike for this college, and later someone exposes all on-paper staff in this college. Already the university lost its face in Medical PG admissions due to its sleepy face, while few colleges submitted fake permission letters. It's time the university administration wakes up. Btw, all the 5 star ratings you see for this college on Google reviews are done under pressure from management who wanted to elevate the image of college after a big strike by students in 2022 when management removed a hard working staff. I also notice some reviews giving 4 star rating to this college on Mouthshut. They are all fake reviews as I can assuredly say that there are/were no students by that name. I request Mouthshut.com to verify users before they post 4 star ratings to such low quality colleges.
