Last saturday I went to this restaurant with my wife for lunch. It is located opposite Ramkrishna Mission on Gariahat Road. So the location is definitely good. We took a seat and asked for the menu. Though it was a multi-cuisine restaurant we decided to try out the Indian section. The first order was Butter Nan and Chicken Begum Bahar. Nothing to say about tye Nans as there are very few restaurants in the city which makes them bad. But Chicken Begum Bahar was very good in taste and the quantity was more than sufficient. Our next order was Mutton Biryani.
It had 2 large mutton pieces which was a welcome change from the mandatory 1 piece that we get at other restaurants. The mutton pieces were very soft but the rice was not up to the mark. It was bland in taste and the distinct biryani smell was missing from it. However, if you can avoid the rice then this one is definitely a good place to have a quick lunch.
Meal for Two: Rs 260 w/o beverages.
