I loved watching "Soorarai Pottru" on Amazon Prime.
The movie brought out the tempo of the book 100%, The Protagonists' humble background.. Stint in defence and farming. In particular the travails and tribulations in getting approval from DGCA.. Raising funds.. Never losing hope... despite pressure from family and friends.. constant troubles from competing airlines after having started.
It's a highly motivating movie and instills hope in those struggling to live their Dreams.
The successful bakery business of his wife is a new revelation in the movie.
Surya's acting has been great and brings out the emotions of the story.
Aparna Balamurali's acting as wife and Bommi the baker is superb. So is the role of mother, so aptly played by Urvasi.
Exposure of Vijay Mallya is low in the movie.
I have been an Admirer of Air Deccan and Capt. GR Gopinath; Enjoyed reading his book "You can Fly", (you can read my review of the book here in Mouth shut) Have flown in AIR DECCAN often and loved their low cost, no frills airline
