In my current state of life where 24 hours doesn't seem enough to get all the work done, music is my fuel, my inspiration and my therapist. I have since long given up on ipods and mp3 players as mobile phones have taken over that department too. I sincerely dont see the reason why I should have an seperate piece of equipment to play my songs and videos when this is handles with ease on my mobile. If then this is the case why would one require the latest sony walkman unwired player?? The answer lies in the product name it self... UNWIRED... nothing puts me off than tangled wires on my favorite earphones which never seems to have the right amount of length of wire... its either too short or too long!! And then the fact that most earphones keep slipping off your ear if u dont keep absolutely still!! I kept wondering one shouldn't have to put up with all this misery for a few hours of daily personal solace in music and then sony came out with this gem of a product.
Like what you all must have seen in the tv ad, the product is completely wireless and has a snug fit into your ear. Move and dance all you want coz this baby ain't going nowhere!! It comes with 2GB memory and sound quality and volume is spectacular. The charging and music transfer is done via the all too common usb cable and u get a dock along with it. Its quite simple to operate. The ear pieces are held together by a strong magnet which you have to disconnect and push in the jog dial to turn the device on and attach it back together to turn it off. A single charge of 1.5 hrs would last you 10 to 12 hours guaranteed. The option of a 3 minute quick charge which is enough to operate the device for 90 minutes is a blessing. The shuffle button, volume buttons and the jog dial come in on the right ear piece.
All in all a fantastic product and all thanks should go to sony for figuring out the next step in personal music and what exactly the people want!! The only down side is the pricing of the walkman at Rs4990 which I feel for a 2 GB is too much but then considering the quality, technology and the product performance should make it feel priced right. So go ahead and get one if wires and improper headphones bug you.... the age of wireless music has dawned!!
