- Processor Description
It has a Processor which is'Intel Core i5-2430M', with a speed of 2.40 Giga hertz
- Memory
The hard drive is of 500 GB, out of which some of the portion is taken up by the pre- installed applications. And there are extra slots for the memory card.The memory aspect of this laptop is not worth it, the main problem lies there.This made my laptop slow. I cannot keep working on multiple Applications. Even after opening multiple applications, I am not able to move on to the next applications
- Battery
Earlier before 6 months the battery used to go for 7 hrs a day. But now, even 2 hours is not possible. The charger has to be Switched ON every moment.
- Audio Quality
Though the quality of sound is very good. As such SONY products are well known for their Sound Quality. There are HD Audio and Stereo speakers. Though the speakers should have been in the front region, that is what I felt because sound increases when they are nearer to ears.
- Weight
Its weight is as normal as every Sony Laptop, skin cannot be easily carried in hand, but well kept in lap. Though the laptop must not be kept on front of thigh or lap region, because the laptop can easily burn the lap region.
- Heating
The laptop get heated very rapidly and frequently. And therefore one can feel the heat after half hour after starting to work.
- Overall Performance regarding the ease of use.
It has a screen size of 15.5 inches, with some extra added features of LED back light, which is a plus point.It obviously has many attractive features being a Sony product. So, it was earlier when I bought the laptop, that I found that the laptop was very good. I was very conservative of the laptop earlier, but now the same thing is that I do not frequently use it anymore.I rather prefer using my cell phone. Earlier I had games too installed in the laptop, but now I am unable to play games, because of the'hanging' problem.
- Services by Sony
We had some problem of the Charging adapter, so we contacted the Sony Service Center, in turn we go a much better response. They replaced the adapter. So no comments on the services provided by the Sony.
After all if we comment on the fact that whether it is cost effective or not, then I would NOT say it is a Thumbs Up, and don't expect much from this series laptop.
