?A good system can be determined by the sound output it gives when the volume is at the minimum.? So for eg, if you have a total output of 3000w p.m.p.o (ie peak music power output) & the volume u have put up is 6, then the output ur getting is 600 w?s & not 3000(as this remains a misconception always for people!!). So one should always take into consideration how much the R.M.S provided is?coz that gives us a correct idea so as to how much the clarity of the sound is & how much with a minimum setting, the voice can be high.

This is where companies like Bose, Yamaha etc score over Sony, when it comes to total performance. What the Bose guys do is when upon buying the system, they come & configure , plus analyse our house acoustics, setup the wires( option of gold, silver & copper) accordingly with a direction wise put-up of the speakers!! Mannn..the Sony guys don?t do this when we talk of customization? But then again, Its purely for very avid music buffs, not people who just want to listen for the sake of hearing or music!!

So.. ?the cost is long forgotten, but the quality is remembered forever??. My owner, Mehul always remembers this thought as it comes to his mind every now & then when he sees a brand new me?.while leaving home he sees to it that somethings on, on returning home, he puts up something & till now..whatever best music he must have got at home, he must have listened to it as many times as no one could have & after getting fed up of listening to those same ol tracks again n again!! He reached a point of getting fed up to pen down this rev on what is a world class buy?ahem!! That?s me?The Sony MHC RV-50 mini hi-fi music system!! Nice name eh!!

? As water quenches ones thirst, music refreshens up the soul!!? as I would like to put it, & be it any music whatsoever?jazz, pop, fusion etc etc, one just loves to give an ear to it, coz the experience itself is so very uplifting, that theres nothing like this refreshment. His old system was GR8! Yeah?it was gr8 indeed, but that?s also the model number, ie the Sony GR8 which was all of 1500w P.m.p.o plus already 5 years old!!

History sez that it debuted when Kaho naa pyaar hai did & it ended unfortunately when Lakshya came, coz by then Mehul didn?t like to listen much on it, be it a FM programme or even cds! He had an exchange done for me, as I arrived home in total surprise & super quick delivery!!! B4 goin on to explain myself, my strong suggestion alongwith Mehuls opinions would be to not to buy from sources like Sony Mony or Vijay sales coz as we found out, the difference in the costs to be quite a lot. That?s why always buy directly from the so many dealers which are based around u, as it wont be tough at all to locate one. These guys directly deal with the parent company as the above mentioned sources charge a bit extra for their own sales expenses!!

So..enter Lakshya & enter a brand new baby ie me in this home already full of hi-tech gadgets. Unlike other systems of the past which were heavy & bulky, I am very lightweight as I am microprocessor controlled as Mehul found it to his surprise when he lifted me out from the box. A squeaky clean silver & black combi of colors makes me look a class apart from the rest?plus my sound output is 3100w p.m.p.o equipped with dual woofers which aren?t there in other systems which instead have the provision of 2 additional surround speakers. Also, nothing like the output of such a volume of sound flowing from my hybrid dual woofers?.its just very fantastic indeed!!

Now, my master stays on the 4th floor & his uncle below has an entire Bose home theater system. So, nothing like giving competition to him(I know I am still loose!!) but since theres no one to compete apart from me, nothing like being there & battling it out at parties, get2gethers etc. I am equipped with a host of features of which the option of playing Mp3s, cd-rws, cds & vcds has bcome a common affair. Apart from these regulars, I am loaded with a new feature called game sync mixing( whose nitty-gritties Mehul has yet to decipher) & also a host of things like sound equalizing, adjustment, Cd synchro & tape recording, and a newly introduced thing like,? falling asleep to music? & ?awaking upto music??just read on..

Getting started, hooking up myself is a childs play really & so is connecting the radio antenna behind me & putting me up. Almost 99% of myself can be operated by the remote, except for disc changing & the cd-tray opening. Otherwise I am totally in your hands throughout. All the functions of cd operating, presetting radio stations(am/fm/mw), rewinding, recording are very easy to learn as u shall find. Here, the very many new options come into notice. First, theres this unique button called,?repeat? pressing on which one can run any cd, nonstop?until you stop it!! Otherwise b4, this wasn?t prevalent in any other systems to the best of my knowledge. To cancel the function, simply press that button again twice until it disappears from my display panel.

Many people who setup their systems in their closed type of wall-units, complain of not getting to hear the radio stations clearly & this is a fact as Mehul checked me out at home, as even I have been setup in such an unit. If one wants a clear reception of any radio programme then the wall unit has to be more of an open type where my antenna can receive the signals properly & openly. Next up, comes the very basic tape operations & I shall also explain the recording part?My tape doors are ultra smooth & they open quickly. Here comes a warning?.when u play either a cd or a tape, & when u feel like rewinding or ejecting, don?t do it directly but instead do it by pressing the stop button & then proceeding. What happens otherwise is my mechanism gets affected in the long run. Mehul found this in his earlier system & hence I m warning u.

I am gonna play some gr8 music to ur ears, so be faithful In serving me properly yaaar!!

Theres a unique function in me which also features in Sony walkies & my brother systems..which is called as the AMS. In this, I automatically rewind or forward a certain track till it ends or begins automatically as u command me thru the remote! This is very good as u don?t have to guess that ,?ya?I gotto rewind till so many seconds till this track comes up?.nope!!? all u gotto do is remember what the track number is & leave the rest to me?& I work brilliantly here. An auto reverse function also has become common & u can enjoy listening the entire sides of ur cassettes without turning em again & again, unlike in the past?Mehul remembered his plight when he had the then famous Philips Powerhouse system!! Times have changed a lot & truly its for the better.

As the recording function comes into play with a one touch ?rec? button, Mehul fulfilled his dream of recording as many mp3s onto 90 min tapes( make sure they r of a good brand) & when he did hear the recorded ones..the quality was just apart from the rest..just 2 good.
