Well, after debating over what brand to buy, I finally settled for this one! Yepp!!! Its true to its name..''SONY'' !!! I have had a very good look @ all other TV brands...Most of them have a decent picture clarity, but none of them match upto Sony's FD Trinitron WEGA technology. This model also has a VM setting, that when set, gives sharper pictures and a better overall ambience! Features are simply excellent. Usually, Sony TV sets dont come with a powerpack of features..but this one does!
Now that was all about the picture! Let me come to the sound now. Well, at first, I didnt expect this to have any ''punch'' in the sound...or hear anything ''fancy''. But this model comes with a decent sound too. A 5 band graphic equalizer with SRS Surround gives you more than you can ask for. It doesnt have that ''bass'' effect to it. Well, who wants one for TVs...thats for music systems! The voice clarity is excellent, and the high frequencies are heard extremely well. Very sufficient for TVs.
Now for the features... a DVD component input, SRS Surround, Equalizer, VM mode, Signal booster, Intelligent Sound, 2 AV input and 1 AV output , ....... the list goes on!! Finally, the areas where they could have improved ... Firstly, the manual program store is tidious! The organization could have been made more user freindly. If you dont care about the channels and the way they are stored....ignore this paragraph! Another region of improvement could be the remote control organization. Important buttons are too small and positioned in incorrect and hard to reach places.
