Sir Alex's army men
Jun 11, 2001 12:58 AM 1844 Views

I have been an avid supporter to man united for the past 8 years. People brand me as a glory supporter. That is the most annoying thing ever. When I moved to Wales I was on the playground and I was watching my new friends playing footie so, that night I asked my dad to name a football team and the first club he named was Manchester United and from there on I have supported.

Well enough of me this is al about man u. the team has progressed rapidly since I started to support them. The back quartet has gone from strength to strength when Jaap Stam was introduced. You can see the difference he is because when he was injured the team don’t struggle but didn’t do as well as I would have liked them to of done. The two Neville bro's are one of the best defenders in the world. Phil Neville doesn’t usually get a play but when he does he is magnificent. Wes brown is achieving so much at his level and as fergie is playing him so much he is getting better. The own goal by him must have been heart braking, but like keane said we all do them once in a while. mickael silvestre, another youngster to be introduced into the team. He is getting played a lot more now and he is getting valuably training from every match.

p.s. please comment and ill comment on urs comment

Midfield

The midfield is undoubtedly the best in England. Beckham, well what else is there to say about this player? How is he able to produce some of these passes??? People never cease to speak about the goal at Wimbledon but the goal assist for me is when he done that 60ft pass right into the path of Dwight yorke, ooh inch perfect. Giggs well the same as Beckham really, he never stop making me happy when he goes on one of those fabulous runs of his and produces some thing at the end of it all, and again we can back up his wonderful skill's by praising him with a ''wonder goal'' against arsenal in the FA cup semi final of 99'. But on the down side he is easily prone to getting hamstring injuries which affect how he plays. Keane the Kaptain!! He has slotted very well in to the captains role and it hasn’t even seamed to affect him. He is a spell binding player but unfortunately he gets a bit carried away resulting in a sending off like against man city: the tackle (well really a foul) was a sending off offence no doubt about it. Scholes the wonder goales boy he sure can crack a ball when he wants to. He has had a few ''crackers'' under his belt but none spring to mind other that the latest one against west ham. Luke Chadwick, he is another player to be produced from the youth team just like beckham, Giggs, Neville bro's, brown and so on. He doesn’t get a lot of plays but I think that fergie should play him more it get him up to beckhams standards.

Attacking

Well Alex is spoiled for choice when it comes to picking an attacking partnership. The usual one people would pick would me Cole and Yorke they are performing extremely well at the present time. They are the most successful partnership im the premiership this season! Solskjær and sheringham just cannot stop scoring when they come on as a sub. The two most famous goals by man u forwards has to be the two against Bayern Munich in extra time. For me the best partnership is yorke and cole.

Achievements

Man u have achieved loads under the management of sir Alex Ferguson. He is the only manager to win the premiership both sides of the boarder (Scotland and England). He has achieved the double 3 times and the treble once. Manchester united have been crowned champions 7 times out of 9. This season has been one of the most compulsive win, the most was 18 but remember the season isn’t over yet.

New signings.

Sir Alex Ferguson has splashed out £19m on Ruud Van Nistelroy from PSV. This is the first time that he has bought some one for a long time. Man u need another player just like Jaap Stam to slot in next to him.

More to come?

I hope that when Sir Alex steps down from the title role man u wont flop. The likeliest new manager will be the chairman, but I think that Eric Cantona deserves to be a part on man u again.

KEEP ON ROLLIN MAN U!!!
