Avoid Snapdeal like plague. Despite their catchy ads and offers, they are a genuine bunch of morons. Their customer care is actually non-existent. In fact Snapdeal's mail customer care is only an automated reply system with randomly chosen names from Maneka Gandhi's Book of Indian Names. Their telephone support is again another set of automated bunch of humans, trained to only say ".will be resolved very soon" and of course I forgot to mention, "Good Morning(Evening) Sir, how may I help you" too.
An online store is only as good as its customer support. I suffered and learned this in relation to my Order ID: 3800299363. The product was a gift, not dispatched by delivery date and missed its purpose. But they did not allow me to cancel the order either which was eternally "under process". Customer Care said the same was out of stock, but as I found out immediately, was available from several vendors in huge numbers on their website! On pointing that out, standard reply from them about some crap like ".we will refer to the concerned department." and more similar nonsense. Asked for an acceleration of the request, they said nothing like that is available! Seven mails to them, no useful reply, all crappy automated ones just to fulfill the 48 hrs deadline. 2 facebook posts, nothing but standard automated reply. 4 customer care calls, and after long in-queue waiting, again automated replies- this time by humans(for a change)! When they delivered ultimately nearly a month later, not even one line of regret. Happens only in India!
Rest assured, they are as fake as one can be. Only using baits of lure and then passing to sweet oblivion. Avoid them, save yourself from a lot of trouble. The trouble and hassle is nowhere near worth the few rupees you might actually save on their deals. TRY AMAZON instead. I can not comment on the price and savings, but customer care is excellent and near perfect!
Once again, SnapDeal is just a crappy thug and have gross disregard for its customers!
