I had placed an order for a pair of Lotto shoes(order number - 912306933) . First Snapdeal gave me 21-March as delivery date. Then, on 21-March, I received an SMS saying my order is delayed and it is expected by 27-March.
On 26-March, Snapdeal sends an email saying they are cancelling the order because they were unable to fulfill on time.
Come on! Cancelling an order because they were unable to fulfill the order on time! If I had cancelled the order, then it would have made some sense that I was upset with their service. This is the first time I heard that a retailer cancelled the order because it was unable to service on time.
Suddenly I remembered lots of negative comments about Snapdeal.com on the internet, all related to unexpected cancellation of orders, inability to deliver the right product, delivering the product in damaged condition and so. I regretted ignoring all those comments.
I feel that I wasted my time with this website and have decided never to purchase anything from this website. It was a pure waste of time. I think these people are some small time retailers who somehow got a website developed and started online retail business. They neither have the bandwidth to handle business nor the courtesy required for the business.
My advice - avoid this website. In any case, don't pay them in advance. Either your money will be stuck or you will not get what you want.
