Have you tried a sleek modular kitchen?
ASIAN PAINTS SLEEK INTERNATIONAL ARE BIG TIME MANIPULATORS AND CHEATS.
I request everyone to please stay away from Asian Paints Sleek International for modular kitchens. Let me tell you my story so that you are well aware of how they manipulate you. I was a genuine customer who suffered.
Looking at the Asian Paints brand value, I went to their nearby dealer UDC Homes in Pitampura for my father's modular kitchen. Their designer, Mansi Saini, explained how their kitchens are designed very nicely but missed out the payment plan conveniently despite two meetings and numerous calls. She just mentioned about the booking amount of Rs 50, 000 but very smartly missed out the fact that it will be forfeited if we cancel the booking at any stage or that 100% of the amount including installation charges have to be paid even before dispatch of the product from Pune. Our mistake was we didn't ask for it explicitly in details which I repent till date. I must also mention that these are mentioned in a very fine print on the last page of the quotation. The words are so small that it is hard to read them. But PLEASE READ THIS FINE PRINT BEFORE THE QUOTATION USING A HAND LENS or enlarge it on a computer screen and then read. This fine print will be used massively against you in future. Coming back, my father was asked to pay the booking amount of Rs 50, 000 without which my kitchen's design won't be shared and the team will not visit the site to align with the contractor, plumber etc. I paid the said amount trusting AP but little did I know what unfolded after the payment was done.
The delays started and price started increasing even for the slightest changes claiming that it is non standardized and the company ensures quality at every step. And the real horror was the payment plan and the terms and conditions that were disclosed to me thereafter. The company takes 100% of the amount INCLUDING INSTALLATION CHARGES even without the dispatch of the product from Pune (70% before production starts and 30% before dispatch). When I asked them that what if the production is delayed or something goes wrong on the way or there is some delay or fault in installation, they were adamant that it doesn't happen and in their words, nothing can go wrong. However, if it does, the company will help you asap. This is contradictory to what I had started facing already and as per so many other reviews. When I asked them to take installation charges after installation, they refused stating that it is the company's policy. So what does the company do for the customers in case of delay at their end? Nothing.. just sorry and we are trying asap. I asked them to share the terms and conditions which was another horror. The company starts charging you Rs 500 per day of delay from the customer's end from day 3 onwards. So for the 100% money paid by me to the company, I do not get any assurance or compensation from the company for their delay but I am charged for the same from Day 3 onwards. This is so horrifying. They claim 45 days guaranteed delivery so please read in between the lines.. it is delivery and not installation. Secondly, 45 days start from the approval day and the approval itself takes around 7-10 days minimum if everything is standardized according to their protocol. The approval may take longer in case of "non standardized kitchens". The dealer, Mr Ramit Jain of UDC homes, didn't pick up the call and I was told by the designer to call her manager, Mr Praveen Sharma, and not the dealer as Sleek International is working on his property, which has a big sign of Asian Paints on the entire floor. The payment was done to UDC LLP Impex. So why shouldn't the dealer be involved? Afterall, I went to him looking at the brand name of Asian Paints and didn't know the designer until then. But apparently, he is not to be called for any kitchen related issue. After speaking to their manager at length, I realised that the company has ensured every possible way to escape any liability in case of delay or faulty kitchen from their end whereas the customer has no such rights. When I told them that these lopsided terms and conditions are unacceptable, please refund my amount and they can deduct some charges for the time they had invested in my kitchen design (though I had also wasted 2 weeks in the process), they said the entire amount is forfeited if booking is cancelled at any step as per their terms and conditions. I decided to leave my dream of providing a modular kitchen to my old parents at that stage and we lost our Rs 50, 000 hard earned money. I don't know what would have happened if I had paid the entire amount and don't even want to go till the service part post installation. I can already imagine the lame excuses that I would have met with if I believe so many other reviews.
I am speechless that such a big company is cheating and fooling their customers like this. PLEASE ASK FOR PAYMENT PLAN AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS FROM THE DESIGNER BEFORE THROWING AWAY YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
