The skin is influenced by atmospheric conditions. In winter, it loses moisture to the atmosphere, while the summer months can be a bane, specially for people with oily skins. In summer, sweat and oil secretions are more. This is deposited on the skin, making it look greasy and also attracting dirt and pollutants. The skin seems to lose its glow and begins to look dull. The humidity level also rises in summer, posing a real problem. So, regulate and adjust the skin-care routine, keeping in mind the specific requirements of the skin.

TIPS FOR SKIN CARE IN SUMMER

-

1)CLEANSING

-

Hot and humid conditions call for deep pore cleansing, specially for oily skins, in order to keep the pores free of clogged oil and dirt. After washing or cleansing the skin, cleansing grains or a scrub should be used to deep cleanse the skin, by rubbing  gently on the skin, using a circular motion. Ready-to-use scrubs are also available. The grains or scrub should be washed off with plenty of water. It is important to rinse well with water in order to get rid of all residues and sweat deposits. In fact, during summer the face should be washed several times with plain water.

2)SKIN FRESHNERS

-

The most important aspect of beauty during the summer months is keeping fresh. We not only want to look cool and fresh, but feel it too Skin fresheners and skin tonics not only help to refresh the skin, but leave us with a cool and fresh feeling too.The skin tonic or freshener which you buy should have a gentle action, so that you can use it several times a day to wipe and refresh the skin during summer. Herbal products are good in this respect.

Rosewater is one of the best known skin fresheners. For oily skins, add a few drops of lemon juice and use it to wipe your skin.

3)CLEANING AT NIGHT

-

Cleansing of the skin at night, before bedtime is even more important. The dirt and pollutants, which have been deposited on the skin during the day, must be removed. This not only helps to reduce surface oil, but also protects the skin from pimples, spots and other eruptions. In case of boils or heat rash, it is best to seek advice from a doctor or skin therapist. If the skin feels dry, a light liquid moisturizer should be used, both to prevent moisture loss and also as a base for make-up.

4)HOME REMEDIES

-

As home remedies, many kitchen ingredients are said to have a cooling effect. For instance, cucumber is very cooling. Cucumber juice or pulp can be applied on the face. It helps to reduce oiliness and impart a cool and fresh feeling. If the skin is oily, rose water and lemon juice can be mixed in equal quantities and used to wipe the skin. This cleanses, tones and also reduces oil. Mix lemon juice with water in equal quantities and freeze it in an ice-cube tray. Whenever you want a refresher, rub a frozen cube lightly over the face and then wipe with cotton wool. Removes oil and leaves the skin fresh. Specially good for oily skin during summer. Mix potato juice with cucumber juice and use it to wipe the face. This can also be used as eye pads over the eyes, after soaking them.

4)WATER

-

Since the body loses a lot of fluid during the summer months, through perspiration, it is essential to replenish the fluid loss. Drink plenty of water and “Nimbu Paani”. The diet should include fresh fruits and raw salads, as these also help to replace fluids. Adequate fluid intake helps to keep the system well flushed and removes toxins and wastes. This, in turn, reflects on the skin, keeping it clear and free from problems. Diet is an essential part of

skin care.

I hope this tips help in some way atleast.
