Management & Drs at Reliance Foundation Hospital has to be forthcoming in clearly laying down dangers involved in ICU stay at their facility. Patients and Relatives need to make informed decisions about their loved ones who they entrust in the care of the Reliance Foundation Hospital Team.
The focus should be saving all lives, with the ultimate and only focus being to respect all lives and not just make profits being a business. During my grandmother's 3 month stay, there have been several instances of lapses by the doctors and nursing staff which led to further deterioration of her condition. FYI, the Nursing staff in the wards is very mediocre with a clear lack of experience and empathy. 50% of ICU doctors have little to no experience. They're either interns or have little to no ICU experience and are assigned to care for very critical patients in ICU while it should be a team of proficient and experienced Drs assigned to the ICU. In short, the system in totality failed us and we are still seeking answers.
Drs should encourage relatives to take their loved ones home where they will face less exposure to drug-resistant deadly pathogens prevalent in ICU, and to save them from imminent dangers of infections giving them a better chance at survival and recovery.
Never once in my grandmom’s 3-month stay at Reliance Foundation Hospital were we warned of this imminent danger of life-threatening infections or even guided that she would be better off with home care than ICU. As a matter of fact she never even got an opportunity once to make it out of there alive and be with her loved ones. The deadly infections took her life! This was an opportunity snatched away from her which now can never be undone. The family is in utter grief, total shock, and loss of words to express their sorrow!
Every effort should be made to correct this ongoing issue of infections in the building and doctor/nurse lapses at the Reliance Foundation Hospital. This should be done without further ado before more lives are lost. Reliance should provide the best healthcare, have the best infection control practices, highest in the industry to save lives. After all, RFH has the trusted, Dhirubhai Ambani's name attached who was the forerunner of honest, fair policies rather than just money-making ideology in any and every manner possible.
