Another review on restaurant by me! Reviewing restaurants seems to be very smooth going for me. My dream is to review every restaurant in Mumbai.
I had bunked my college after giving internal exams & we friends decided to go for a buffet spread & were searching for a place in & around sion but then we decided against it & took the longer route out. We decided to go Sigree Global Grill which is located in Powai.
Let me start with the cost, followed by the varieties that were served.
We had opted for buffet spread which was 650/- per person.(Non-Veg)
The buffet comprised of 5 non-veg starters & 5 veg starters. North Indian, Turkish, Lebanese, Greek were served in Main course & around 12 desserts.
Starters: Out of the 10 starters served, 7 were delicious & above par. The remaining 3 starters were average. The first starter was made of chicken & was served in grills. The best part about this place was that the starter was already grilled & didn't need efforts to grill it again. Next starter was fish & it was equally delicious. Then came hunan fish which was sweet in taste which I found very average. Then came the veg starters. The paneers, cheesy potatoes etc. The starters were very good as compared to global fusion.
Main Course: Frankly speaking I didn't try anything much into main course, but whatever I tried was commendable. I loved the Pasta very much! it was very creamy with hinge of Garlic. Tried special dish made of chicken with oyster sauce and live vegetables like broccoli and found it very delicious. Tried few more dishes into main course & was satisfied and felt it was equally justified the hype this restaurant created within our friend circle.
Desserts: There were around 12 types of desserts. Almost all the desserts were mouth watering & were good in taste as well. I loved the Mousse cake, kiwi sauce with ice-cream, different types of pastries & last but not the least malpua with rabri was icing on the cake type of feeling!
What do you like or dislike about this restaurant?
There were many things that I liked about this restaurant! First being the ambiance, then the music which deserves a special mention! Vintage hits like Mambo, abba etc were played which was not at all expected. The starters were awesome, then the main course impressed me too & last but not the least the desserts too was standout.
Things that I didn't like much about this place aren't much, but one thing that I would like to change about this place is the way in which the food is served, in the sense that the table wasn't arranged systematically. It seemed to be in a messed up state if anyone passed by our table.
What was the food like?
As mentioned the food was delicious & I had no regrets spending 600 bucks for a buffet. Or should I put it as money spent wisely?
Right from the starters till the desserts everything satisfied my taste buds. This is the first place that has impressed me in all three departments.
Comment on flavor, temperature, portion size and appeal.
The food had it's own flavor, one which I will always cherish. Everything here was very appealing & had it's own range in terms of flavor.
Are reservations necessary?
I had been to this place on weekday & there isn't much crowd during weekdays, but still we had done prior reservations. I recommend everyone to do prior reservations if you are planning to go during weekends.
In short if I have to summarize my experience about this place then I would call it a VFM place! Good Food & Presentation to go along with nice ambiance & decor, & descent enough Customer service!
I had clicked some pics! Check them out:)
