The Confusion!!

We all are confused sometime and this confusion can take any size, shape and severity, in case of Raghuram and Gayatri, the confusion could never reach to its peak so that it could fall, rather it just grew over the period of time.

It happens sometime that a movie starts with a good pitch and loses the charm while reaching towards the end, SDR is again falling in that kind of category where the plot had a great potential of creating a fantastic and memorable film but the script sometime seems to be so messed up that it ends up becoming a normal film. But one thing I must say that Indian directors are getting daring by the time to make films on such subjects which were a taboo sometime in our society.

Let’s talk about the cast first, I watched Sushant Singh for the first time and feel that he did justice with the role, His role was crafted like a traditional city boy who is caught up in certain boundaries’ but want to escape out of it but is also confused about a lot of things(marriage is one of those), and somewhere there is a little idiot lying in him who is regularly searching for a partner without knowing that “he actually does not know what he wants out of life” I feel he played the role well. While speaking about Parineeti Chopra I must say that here character was similar to Sushant’s in a female version and she could play it fine. The character played by Vaani Kapoor came up with a feel of a girl who is ready to be made fool easily by boys like Sushant(Now here the problem is that the boy never knew what he actually wants out of that girl and ends up messing up things with her. On the other hand Rishi Kapoor was as always a good actor.

The movie started with a good note and the first half will for sure leave a mark on you, If I am not exaggerating some of the scenes between Sushant and Parineeti were so romantic that it allowed me to get into memories of some classical love stories of Indian Cinema and both of them had a perfect chemistry while performing those, If we talk about the much talked “Lots of Kissing Scenes” of the movie, I must say that I could feel more of romance in those rather than carnal desires. The song “Gulabi” was shot fantastically and will leave a mark on your memory.

The director tried to overdo some of the things in the movie which actually killed the potential of the story, running out of marriages and relationships again and again was fine but the long discussions on those made the second half very heavy and sometime I felt like the movie must end soon. The second half becomes monotonous some time due to those long unwarranted discussion between characters which were actually reverse to the theme of movie.

On a conclusive note I can say that it becomes a onetime watch movie which had a great potential in terms of plot and the theme.
