I have had couple of horrible experiences with rediff shopping. I had purchased some apparel few years back and found it to be of sub-standard quality. I thought they might have improved at least now and hence committed a big mistake of shopping on this portal once again, few days back. I have nobody to blame except for myself, to have shown confidence on this shopping portal. I can say for sure that they haven't improved even after many years and I'm also sure that they would never improve, whether it is product quality or customer service.
Recently, I placed an order for a laptop charger. They had displayed a new laptop charger in the picture and it was exactly as per the charger that I had with me. However, after receiving the product, I realized that it was a duplicate charger, which looks like a company charger, basically a copy product made by some local company. When I used the charger, my laptop battery wasn't getting charged.
I tried reaching out to their customer support and they mentioned that they would get back to me with the details on how to address my concern. After a few calls over the week, they informed me that I need to send an e-mail to a specific e-mail ID. I sent an e-mail, but it bounced back. I called the toll free number once again and got the correct e-mail ID.
When I sent my concern to that e-mail ID, I got a response saying that they cannot entertain any queries on this product, since I had sent an e-mail on the 8th day after delivery. As per their rules, a customer needs to send a query within 7 days. I was shocked to read this statement from them.
They are just a cheating shop and do not bother about customer satisfaction. I would say that even a road-side platform hawker would be more professional and customer oriented than this horrible shopping site.
Hence, my suggestion to the readers is not to shop on this site ever. If you have too much excess money, donate it to somebody in need or throw it away rather than shopping on this site. By shopping on this site, you are only making them richer, so that they can play with other customers' time and money.
