Readers, please note, this review is about the Shoppers Stop, which is at the Begumpet area. I believe there are couple more outlets of theirs, one in GVK Mall, one in Inorbit mall.
The place opens only by 10:30-11(on a Sunday, when we visited them, that's what we were told). The showroom is a trademark Shoppers Stop setup: as you enter, you are pleased with the aroma of various perfumes and scents. Also, as in many of their other stores, the entrance lobby is also reserved for ladies cosmetics section.
This outlet is huge with 4 levels. The ground floor is shared between ladies-wear and other apparel and accessories like watches, perfumes, hand-bags etc, followed by kids section on 1st floor. 2nd floor is for menswear and the last for other home necessities like suitcases etc. There was a cafe coffee outlet on top - which we did not try.
I am not sure, if they had an underground parking(we did not check, as we were tourists visiting this place, without any vehicle of our own), however if they don't - then parking could be a big hassle here, as this is right next to a busy main road.
The collection was good, new and lot of variety. Prices are same -'as per brand standard'. There were no discounts. I had not taken my Shoppers Stop membership card, however they were happy to allocate points based on my mobile number - which generally, is a common practice, now-a-days.
Salesmen were humble, always there to assist and answer your questions. The place was not much crowded(most of the place was almost deserted).
Toilets for men and women are on different floors and I had trouble locating the men's. There were no signages and even staff directed me to wrong floors. Once I reached the right floor, the loo was was found, hidden in a place just behind the cash counter - where usually customers do not trespass.
Overall, ambiance and decor is excellent and a nice feeling to shop here(of course you got to pay the price too!) but a good place to shop for genuine quality brands/products.
TIP: If you are at this place, the Paradise restaurant famous for Biryani, renowned brand for Silk Sarees - Nalli Sarees and Ramoji Film City office are just round the corner. This area, I was told is called Shaamlal. There are also hotels and guest-houses around this place for accommodation.
