Shah Rukh Khan's name is not only popular in India but in many other countries as well. And his popularity has earned him many recognition and accolades in India as well as from various other countries. His movies always opens with high response be it domestically or internationally. He has always been setting new bars in the film industry be it the box office collection or fan following.
Shah Rukh today is not only an actor but also a smart businessman. He owns his film production company named Red Chilies Entertainment which is also specializes in VFX and a cricket team in Indian Premier League. Shah Rukh also dreams to have his own film studio. He has properties not only India but also in a luxurious villa in Dubai.
Bollywood's Badshah was born on 2nd November 1965. His father Taj Mohammad Khan was a freedom fighter & mom Lateef Fatima was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan who was in Indian National Army of Shubash Chandra Bose. Shah Rukh Married Gauri Khan and he has two children named Aryan& Suhana. Shah also has a elder sister Shehnaz Lala Rukh Khan.
He debuted small screen in 1988 in the serial named Faujii. The next year he appeared in one more serial called Circus. Shah signed 5 films in one day in year 1991 and worked for whole year to recover from his mother's death. He entered bollywood with movie Deewana in 1992 co-staring Rishi Kapoor & Divya Bharti. The movie was hit and Shah received best debutante award for that performance in the movie. His second movie Maya Memsaab was much controversial because of his vulgar scene in the movie. He marked his presence in as a bad boy in year 1993-94 by doing films like Baazigar, Darr & Anjaam. In Darr & Anjaam he played the role of a scorned lover. In 1995, Aditya Chopra entered in Direction & Directed Dilwale Dulhniya Le Jayange staring Shah Rukh & Kajol in lead which became one of the biggest blockbuster after of the Bollywood. 1996 was a year of failure for him but year 1997 saw King Khan doing films like Dil To Pagal Hai, Pardes & Yess boss which again brought his fan following.
Next year Karan Johar ventured into direction and production, he made his first movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which starred Shah Rukh, Kajol & Rani Mujherjee in lead with. KKHH became a hit was majorly because of its popularity in the youngsters. In same year came Khan's DIl Se which was an average fair. Next year he co-stared with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Mohabbatein which was not a big hit but was appreciated by critics and audience. Shah Rukh aslo appeared in Phir bhil Dil Hai Hindustani & Hey Ram in the same year. In 2002 Khan did two movies Devdas which received official entry to Oscars in foreign film category & Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam with Salmaan Khan. Shah's Chalte Chalte & Kal Ho Na Ho added two more successful films to his career.Chalte Chalte was produced by Khan himself. Farah Khan made her directorial debut with movie Main Hoon Nain in 2004 starring Shah in lead role which was tremendous success. In the same year Shah also did another blockbuster movie Veer-Zaara & and an average fare Swades. Though Swades had average success but the film was revived very well and appreciated for the story. This movie is surely SRK's one of the best.
Shah did only one movie in 2005, Paheli. In 2006, Shah came with two movies, Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna satrring Amitabh Bchchan, Abhishek, Shah himself, Preity Zinta & Rani Mukheerjee. His second movie was Farhan Akhtar's remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Don named Don - The chase Begain. Though it was a hit but Shah Rukh's performance was below average. Year 2007 was rocking year for Shah Rukh, he got two hits Om Shani Om(Blockbuster) & Chak De India. King Khan as producer owing production company called Dreamz Unlimited with Juhi Chawla & Aziz Mirza, made only three films in which two were flop & only one movie i.e Chalte Chalte was hit. In 2004, Shah introduced his new home production company called Red Chilles Entertainment with wife Gauri Khan.
Shah Rulh has received many awards like Best Actor, Supporting Actor, Star of year, Sabsey favourite actor, etc. His fourth coming movies include Dulha Milgaya, Billu Barber, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, My Name is Khan and Don-2.
