I think Shaadi.com is okay. It isn't that great as it's cracked up to be. For one thing I think the prices have just gotten too expensive. Now it's $54 for just 3 months! I've been on the site for a few years now (on and off). I am starting to lose hope. You never hear about the "unsuccessful" stories. They tend to be hidden behind closed doors. You just hear about the successful ones. I had one VERY bad experience with someone from the site. It's not the site's fault though. It's just some of the people who are on it.
Unfortunately, the majority of people who try to contact me on there end up being weirdos for some reason. I know the site has done wonders for some people but for me, I guess it's just my bad luck. Also I feel like a good amount of people on there will accept your interest but then will never show any interest in you (like emailing or anything). If they aren't interested then why should they accept your interest in the first place? They might as well decline you or cancel their interest. It just seems misleading in a way.
I had talked to a lot of guys on the site over time but I felt like people were on there for different reasons. Sometimes it just doesn't click. Other times people just don't seem that serious about marriage or just seem confused about what they want. The site says that it uses screening methods to ensure that members interact with only those who are serious about marriage but I haven't been able to find that many people like that on the site. Maybe guys around my age just aren't ready for it. I don't know.
If you do decide to try the site (or any other site) then please be careful of fakers! Looks can be deceiving. Also people can be very different on the phone or through emails than in person. Anyways you will probably have better luck looking elsewhere. Good luck!
