If you were moved by the spelling of happiness in “PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS”, be ready to add seven miles more to the MOVE with the “SEVEN POUNDS”.

The movie starts with Will Smith’s soliloquy, “GOD CREATED THE WORLD IN SEVEN DAYS AND IT TOOK ME SEVEN SECONDS TO DESTROY IT”. The second scene after this is Will Smith talking on phone telling that he is about to commit suicide and this is when you have your body stuck to the chair. No other movements required. Next you find Smith insulting a blind man on the phone and you feel the helplessness that the man might be having.

Sometime later you find Smith following a lady who is suffering from a heart problem and then again you find him in a hospital helping an old lady trying to make her speak and successfully accomplishing it too. You can find that he is a nice person but still unable to forget the insult he inflicted upon the blind man.

It is hard to clear your mind about what is really happening till you hear Ben Thomas (Will Smith) speak this that he wants to help and giving his beach house to a lady in need.

Till now you have got this that Ben Thomas is a nice person and he is trying to help people but why, you would still have no clues about it till last scene.

You will find Ben talking about the harmful jelly fish and would feel whether it was needed but don’t worry, nothing is useless in the whole movie. Just have some patience, control your emotions till the secret unleashing last scene.

Absolutely no mistakes in the script and if a person can direct “PURSUIT” with such a perfection, you can expect something like “SEVEN POUNDS” from him for sure!

Gabriele Muccino is probably one of the best directors in Hollywood right now.

Will Smith is superb and I am seriously amazed to see the person’s maturity in acting. His emotions are incomparable. If someone like Ben did exist, he must have been like Will Smith in all the forms.

Other actors do well.

The dialogues are touchy and perfect.

Even the best critic can’t add any criticism to the movie which teaches you something like what “SEVEN POUNDS” taught and I am nothing so I can just praise and keep on praising the movie.

Go buy the D.V.D if it is not put in the cinema halls and learn something which you never thought of learning.

Learn to repent by giving.
